Perfect solution!
So many rack mount power supplies have the outlets on the front which makes no sense since all the components are wired in the back. This works great because the outlets are in the back so the front of the rack is nice and clean. Then you have a single lighted switch that controls them all.Perfect solution that I would buy again!

Check Polarity Before Using
I bought this one because it was the perfect size for a portable cabinet I built for my guitar rig. Once I got everything installed and wired up, I decided to use an outlet tester to verify operation before turning on the equipment I was going to plug into the Power Unit. Good thing I did. The neutral and the hot wires inside this Power Strip were ALL reversed. It may have damaged my gear if I hadn’t thought to check it first with my outlet tested. Since I had everything built and ready to go, I decided to rewire the power strip myself so I would know it was wired correctly before using. It is nicely built inside, although I could have done with not having to get into it that deeply. Good sturdy construction, but BEWARE, it might not come wired correctly from the factory. TEST BEFORE USING.

STAY AWAY DO NOT BUY. Already FAILED after only 1 year give or take of minimal use.
STAY AWAY, DO NOT BUY. this is not a reliable PDU surge protector meant for use with important equipment in a server rack.Surge protectors that are this expensive, especially ones meant to be used in a server rack shouldn’t fail this easily with the kind of issue I am having. At first I thought this was only on 1 single port of the PDU but noticed today when I had my network go down while family was in the middle of a work meeting, that it is actually multiple ports that have the following issue.Multiple ports are already broken and causing loss of power to devices if the power plug is even just lightly tapped or wiggled literally no joke even just a mm. This was a almost $70 PDU Surge Protector that hasn’t ever had it’s circuit breaker tripped and hasn’t ever had anything plugged in and out of the ports on it more than 3 times since delivery in Feb. 2024.

Functional but 1U mounting holes are too close together.
This appears to be functioning just fine if you only need 6 outlets for your rack. It has a single master switch which turns off all of the outlets at once. The switch is lighted. It is listed as a 1U device. Its physical height does match that spec but the mounting ears on each side have holes which are too close together to match 1U mounting hole spacing. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning the unit so I used my Dremel tool to enlarge both the top and bottom holes so they would fit a standard rack.

Great rack switch
This switch has 2 of my favorite things. It has good plug spacing and nice bright lights. The switches seem to be really good quality. It has an overload breaker. That’s always a nice feature. I would highly recommend this rack switch.
