Protein Powder Mixer
This is a great mixer for its intended purpose. I tried it with protein powder and milk initially to test results. I poured the milk first then added the powder. Gave it a couple pulls and shook it to grab the powder that floated to the top and then a couple more pulls. It blended well with no clumping. I then added 5 fresh strawberries and gave it a few pulls. There was obviously more resistance but was easier as the strawberries broke down. It did a fairly good job chopping as all the strawberries fit through the mouth piece.Cleaning was pretty easy. Put water in and covered with a few shakes and pulls. Disassembled and hand washed. There were no hard to reach places a sponge couldn’t get into.I like the fact that it is not battery operated and easy to clean. It is very portable and practical for on the go purposes. It has a handle which is a plus for me because I tend to clip it with a carabiner on my belt loop at times.I only have a few concerns. The pulling mechanism will get wet and may be a longevity issue. I also believe that the plastic body could be a little thicker.Overall it’s something I’d use regularly.

Really works!
I really thought this cup would be a gimmick. I looked at it andthought no way would it be able to mix in powder effectively. But it does! I dump in the powderfirst then top it off with water. A couple pulls of the lawnmower cord and the thing mixes! Is itflawless? No. There’s still a few bits floating around. Is it really good? Yes. This thing hasconsistently mixed better than I’ve expected. So far it’s been easy to clean too. I thought therewould be powder stuck in the bottom (there’s like a channel) but a few shakes with water and itcomes right out. There’s definitely a fun factor with this too; I feel like I’m getting a mini workoutmixing my protein shakes. When you pull the cord, it is a bit loud, so if you’re using this at theoffice, expect to get weird looks.

Small Mixer Substitute
This little mixer bottle is slick! I was wondering how such a gadget would endure the dishwasher cycle, but no worries! The “pull-string” mechanism that operates the blender function completely retracts inside the base. So far, the string has continued to mix and retract without reduction in effectiveness!I use this as a substitute blender. I use the cup for making things like a breakfast quiche with eggs, cottage cheese, and other things I can toss into omelets and such. The blender function is pretty controllable and I want to mix my items with some amount of chopping without going so far as to puree my food. This fits that bill perfectly and saves the hassle of a plug in blender or parking a less-than-decorative processor on my countertop.I have not tried this with ice cubes, but I plan to try this with mixed drinks and daiquiris next.Disclaimer: I received this item for the purpose of providing an objective review.

Good mixer, but not like a motorized “Blender”
In my program towards eating and drinking in a healthier fashion, I ordered this blender/shaker cup to make smoothies and healthy drinks. The mixer glass is well-made and attractive. It is a little clumsy to use and takes some practice. I found it best to hold it down on a flat surface with one hand while using the other hand to repeatedly pull the pull-and-reel mechanism. It is supposed to provide 20 revolutions for each time you pull – hard to count, but that seems pretty accurate. While it does mix protein drinks well, the word “blender” made me think it would actually chop and blend (like a motorized blender). It does not do that, but works well for mixing well.

Such a cool concept
I was intrigued when I saw this shaker bottle, and just had to see how it would work. I have used others in the past that either you plug in or that you have to charge, but this one works solely by pulling a cord. This creates a tornado like effect inside of the bottle to blend the contents. Once you are done the cord retracts and you screw it back on the bottom of the cup. This is so handy because you can take this anywhere and not have to worry about needing a charge or outlet to use it.

a little disappointed
So I thought this would be cooler than it really is. It is just a simple blender bottle but there is like a weird hand pump to use. Not entirely sure what I was expecting but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. Still a good product but just not for me.
