Basic calculator with slightly plasticky buttons
The calculators offer very basic functions with an extended display. The 12 digits means you can get very detailed decimal calculations or very large numbers. The buttons have a slightly plasticky feel. When the keys reach the limit of their travel they stop with a plastic-on-plastic feel. It is not bad but it is different than what you feel on a keyboard. The calculator has some unique features. The “00” button is helpful for those entering in currency values. The GT (Grand Total) is handy for keeping a running total of values. I could enter calculations and press the GT button add that value to a running total. I could do another calculation and not add it to the GT, then do a few more and add them. It is basically a combination of M+ with an immediate recall (MRC). I found it handy when summarizing square footage of walls to be painted. The other unique button is the right-facing triangle (backspace). It removes the last digit entered and I found it more understandable than the CE button. I still can’t figure out what the Mark Up MU button is used for.Overall these are good, basic calculators. The dual power of solar and battery means they should always be ready for use.

Great for basic functions; not intended for advanced math. Do everything they promise.
These have large a digital display and large buttons, at a not so large size and a not so large price. It is smaller than my bigger version of this (c. 6×4.5 inches vs 6×7+ inches). It stands about 1.5 inches tall at it’s highest point. These work well for my students in the classroom, where the fluorescent lights power them without needing any batteries. No batteries means they are super lightweight to carry. And anything that lightens my shoulder bag of supplies makes me happy. It displays 12 digits. Rubber feet protect your furniture and prevent sliding. The functions are very basic: +, -, x, ÷, %, memory buttons, and a couple of others you may never use (grand total and markup). These are a great bulk buy for 8 of them. If you use one AA battery (not provided), it auto shuts off after 8 seconds of being idle (no off button). If you rely on bright lights, you don’t need a battery at all, but it shuts off as soon as you turn the solar sensor away from the light. The AA is really for backup energy when the light isn’t enough, or to retain your data if you unintentionally lose your light source. It is very easy to change them.My students use these for basic arithmetic functions and ratios. Dual power is a plus. They serve their purpose well.

Great Price! I put in a battery and it works great!
I got these to have in my classroom if need be. I do not often need calculators in my classroom, but I personally need one handy and a couple of times a year a few student may be served well to have one handy (especially hose that have learning disabilities). With these, my students can keep up with the lessons and not get caught up in the simple operations (that rely on mastery of the multiplication tables) that can confuse them. For simple mathematical operations these are very functional. The numbers are easy to read as well as the display. The buttons are easy to read too. They may not be of military grade to withstand abuse at a higher degree, but they are doing well for a great price!Surprisingly, they do not have much weight at all. For me, they are unusually light, especially if you do not put a battery inside them. At just over three dollars a piece, that is a great deal for a calculator that has a large display like this. Further, the size is not unwieldy and awkward, which makes them easy to store. We will see how durable they are over time, but that is a pretty common caveat when buying anything. I do not see anything that immediately indicates that the calculators are not durable.

One minor problem but works great
pretty good for its price. they’re bigger than I thought they’d be and they don’t have that annoying click when you click the buttons from the side like a lot of calculators do. The numbers on the buttons are easy to read and the shell quality is pretty average for 3$ each (ish) for having the memory feature. the only problem is the solar panel is too small and the screen tends to fade when it’s power is getting low

Simple but well thought out calculators at a good value
I was pleasantly surprised by these calculators. They are a simple design but have a couple of features I really appreciate. First one is that there is a back space button, I don’t know how many times I have pressed the wrong number, and in my other calculators, I would have to erase the whole line, these calculators have a backspace button where it will just delete the last punched number. The other feature I really like is that it is dual energy source, it will use solar and battery, and the battery is a regular easy to open compartment in the back using a AA, my other calculators, I had to unscrew the back, and get special button cells. This pack of eight calculators, each come in an individual box, therefore these would make great little stocking stuffers, or perfect as office supplies for a company or business. The buttons are comfortable to operate, the read out on the screen is clear, the shape and size and tilt of the screen is just right. At the time of this review, a calculators are $26, which equals out to be $3.25 each, which is a good value.
