Fellow misophonia sufferers – get this little machine
So I have SERIOUS misophonia.The worst offenders for me tend to be sounds related to mouths – like the sound of a dog licking its paws, for example.I have a little attention-seeking JRT that I SWEAR has figured out how much I react to that sound because now, whenever I’m not paying attention to him, he starts self-grooming. Then looks at me to assess my reaction. He also tends to do a lot of pacing and whining, and the tippy-tap of his toenails on the floor is another trigger. The whining throws me into existential crisis mode where I question my ability to care for a pet adequately and then my worth as a human and then the meaning of life itself.Anyone with misophonia knows that our reactions to triggering sounds are not funny. My own reactions range from mild irritation to real anxiety to (no joke) rage and total shut down.It is not a logical thing but a physiological thing.Out of desperation I ordered this. God this is life-changing.I messed around with the volume and sound settings until I found one that totally masked the sound of his licking. My anxiety levels have dropped so significantly as a result. Because I work from home, I NEEDED to be able to have peace & quiet when on Zoom calls all day. Unbelievably, the people I’m on calls with cannot hear the Lectro Fan AT ALL.I have a Wave Neo Mic, and it may be that it’s just a good mic and isolates my voice well, or it may be that one just cant hear the device through a mic. Anyway, it’s fantastic.I have had this on constantly since the day I got it and cant recommend it enough.

This noise machine is great. I splurged on it when I had my first baby, BOY did that prove to be an investment. This machine has been working miracles in my house for eight long years and four babies. It has travelled all over, it survived coffee spilt on it (that was 4+ years ago), it has taken a few tumbles.I have been using it continually this entire time… some days I even leave it on playing to an empty room. I am so pleased to review this product closing in on a decade of DAILY use, and recommend it 100%. The timer function is great for nap time. The buttons are easy to navigate in the dark. The weight keeps it from being pulled off the dresser, and trust me it has some heft to it. It has grippy rubber feet on the bottom that help with that, too. If you can still buy the OG version of this machine, you should.

Ours is going strong for 8 years! THE BEST PURCHASE I’ve ever made!
I bought this sound machine in February of 2018 and it’s STILL GOING STRONG! I loved it so much a came back and bought a second one two years later. This bad boy has been used DAILY and taken on dozens upon dozens of trips for almost 8 freaking years – and it’s not broken! You’d think the cord would’ve stopped working at some point but nope! Still using the original.I just had to come back and review this AMAZING sound machine so that others know what a great buy it is since it truly lasts! Which you can’t say for most things nowadays. So if you’re on the fence, I HIGHLY recommend this one!It’s the perfect size for travel, has a timer function, and the sound range is incredible. You can make it super quiet or really loud. Plus there are so many different types of white noise and fan sounds to choose from. Honestly this is probably my most used item I’ve ever purchased!(Don’t mind my dusty machine in my picture – like I said, it’s old haha)

Can Sleep Through Upstairs Neighbors Footsteps
This surpasses expectations. I need brown noise to sleep. I switched to this from paying a subscription to use a sleep sound app on my Alexa that required constant internet connection. After waking up in the middle of the night when the router rebooted, I decided I needed something more simple. This does not disappoint. I need it mostly to block out the footsteps of upstairs neighbors who wake up before me and this blocks out that sound.

Finally, a White Noise Machine Worth Buying
Finally, I found a white noise machine worth buying. I previously purchased two other less expensive brands on Amazon that served the purpose of filtering out noise just long enough to pass their warranty periods. Unfortunately, they developed obnoxious noises that sounded like anything from static, crackling, and the loud clacking of box cars running down a train track.The LectroFan produces a clean, consistent-sounding spectrum of fan and white noises to choose from that should satisfy anyone’s taste. I like that the design and build quality of this machine is sturdy, and the function buttons are kept to a minimum of three, which makes it easy to make selections by feel in total darkness. No lighted buttons necessary. I didn’t like, or need, the sea of buttons on my previous machines that activated sounds like ocean waves crashing on rocks, and cutesy little xylophone melodies. I’ve found that the medium pitched fan sound on the LectroFan filters out noise effectively and provides me with a good night’s sleep.I truly hope the LectroFan serves me for years to come, and isn’t a planned obsolescence product like the other cheaper ones sold on Amazon. I’ll provide and update down the road on how the machine is functioning. I hope it remains solid.

Sinceramente no pensé que algo tan pequeño y tengo que agregar vi un video en YouTube de alguien súper conocido por los videos que hace explicando y exponiendo productos y para él este producto fue una joyaEn cuanto lo enciendo, el ambiente cambia. El sonido constante y suave crea una especie de burbuja donde todo lo externo desaparece. No distrae, no molesta, solo te envuelve y te deja caer poco a poco en el sueño. I have been trying to find a white noise machine loud enough to drown out all noises, and finally the LectroFan device does that. Lots of options, a wide range of sound levels. I cannot recommend this enough if you are a light sleeper and need to drown out noises.

Es un aparato pequeño, que cabe sin estorbar en el escritorio o mesa de noche, pero su bocina es potente.Se puede conectar con un cable USB a la computadora o a un cargador de celular.Genera varias frecuencias de ruido blanco y simula sonidos de ventiladores, que ayudan a dormir o a concentrarse en un ambiente ruidoso, debido a que están tapando lo que suena alrededor.El sonido que produce no es música relajante ni nada es eso, es algo como un motor de avión, monótono y denso. Se puede decir que es algo como un desodorizante que se usa en el baño, que probablemente no es un perfume bonito, pero es fuerte, no es desagradable y su función es ocultar olores más feos.Obviamente si hay una apisonadora trabajando al lado o un escándalo muy fuerte, el dispositivo no va a poder tapar el ruido de este tipo, pero es muy recomendable para personas que quieren eliminar ruidos más tenues, sin embargo molestos, como televisión, voces, vecinos, perros etc.

Can’t rate this highly enough. I don’t know how this little machine manages to do it, but it successfully masks the noise from the neighbour’s TV through the poor insulation in the wall. On the very rare occasion now when the TV manages to wake me, I find I don’t fully wake, but just notch up the volume on the machine slightly and drop back to sleep. It’s taken away the stress of the situation. If you’ve ever spent several nights a week awake at 2am when you have to go to work the next morning, you’ll know what I mean. It has multiple choices of white noise and fan noise, but I just picked one and haven’t had to change since. I really wish I’d bought it years ago.Update June 2017Still working amazingly well. Getting full night’s sleep every night. Can’t believe the noises I used to hear have completely stopped since I bought this machine – but I don’t hear them and I sleep well. I would recommend it without hesitation.
