Does everything I need
The Braun Series 5 is the same as the Series 6 but with an easy-clean head instead of a tilting head. It’s inexpensive, light weight, comfortable in your hand, relatively quiet and shaves as close as any electric. Seven shaves dropped the battery by a third, which is pretty good. It charges in about an hour, and like all wet-or-dry rechargeables, you can’t shave while charging. For trimming, you take the shaving head off and snap the trimming head on. That’s a lot of bother for trimming your sideburns, but quite handy if you have a beard.Note that the shaver has two modes, Locked and Unlocked. To switch modes, press the power button for 3 seconds. The shaver arrives in Locked mode, so hold the button down 3 seconds to unlock it and turn it on. After that, a quick tap on the power button will turn it on or off. When you’re packing for a trip hold the button down for 3 seconds again and the shaver will go back into Locked mode and won’t accidentally turn on. This is a very useful feature, but it baffled me for over an hour!

This thing is amazing. Braun is best. To me, this is the best value (under $100) electric razor. The best bang for your buck. I like this thing even better than my previous Panasonic Arc5 (a $150 razor, so like half the cost). It cuts amazing. I can get a skin close no-stubble shave with no irritation (with no shaving cream or anything, so just “dry shaving”). I think it’s a got a great “sporty” design, I would say. It doesn’t look cheap to me. A good light weight, lighter than the Arc5. A little about my shaving history for context. (I’m a male.) I would say I have a “stronger” beard, but sensitive (to cuts) skin in the beard region. To get a no-stubble shave, I would have to cut against the grain. With any manual razor (eg fusion 5, DE – double edge, or straight razor) using shaving cream, I would get irritation. I discovered in switching to electric razors, I could get rid of that, now I could get a no stubble shave without irritation using the Arc5. So if that describes you, you should start considering the electric razor. I tried a very cheap electric razor and it cut horrible. The blade on the Arc5 was getting dull after 1-2 years (starting to get irritation), so I looked at replacement heads. $77. To me that was high, so I thought let me try another razor just to see. Enter Braun 5. I like it better than the Arc5. And the Braun replacement heads seem like great values ($30-40, $30 for series 5), and not many people consider cost of replacement heads up-front. So it seems like a great deal all around. This thing is great for shaving any part of your body even if you don’t shave a whole beard, for example, shaving part of a beard, outlining the beard or bottom of beard, shaving ears, quick back of neck, shaving any part of body (even though I don’t do much, I just tested a small part), shaving back. A good way to describe it is strong, yet gentle. Strong to cut hair easily, yet gentle on skin. In general, just never push down too hard. If you have any harder to shave areas, just pinch the area a little bit with your fingers and gently glide over. If you get any irritation, just push less there in the future. I would probably even recommend this for girls (women/females) to consider, eg shaving legs or whatever. Like I said, to me, seemingly the best value electric razor, of everything I’ve tested so far.

Great shaver, but with a few small downsides
I’ve been using this shaver for a while, and overall, it works really well. The shave is smooth and comfortable, and it doesn’t irritate the skin like some other electric razors I’ve tried. It’s easy to clean and feels solid in the hand.The battery life is good, and I like that it can be used both wet and dry. However, I noticed it sometimes misses a few hairs, especially around the neck area, so I usually have to go over the same spot twice or even more. Also, the replacement heads are a bit pricey.Still, it’s a reliable shaver that gives a close and comfortable shave — definitely worth it for everyday use.

Good product at reasonable price!
So far so good. Have used for several weeks now with no complaints. Shaves close with ease, much quicker than my old Braun, also quieter. Fits well in my hand.

Melhor compra que fiz ! A barba fica super bem feita! Não irrita a pele não belisca a pele não irrita ! Tenho a pele sensível não posso usar gilete ! Tinha um da Philips mas esse Braun me surpreendeu ! Deu de 10 x 0 no Philips !Super recomendo !!Pode fazer o teste de passar algodão depois não fica nenhum fiapo do algodão!

Esta rasuradora afeita con calidad, cuchillas bien afiladas por estar nueva, sin embargo con unas cuantas pasadas rasura al ras, solo hay que moverla como dice el manual. el precio está excelente y es debido a que solo trae el recortador de patillas y el cepillo limpiador, me parece suficiente de otro modo hay paquetes con más aditamentos arriba de $2000, si funciona con espuma, y se limpia bajo el chorro de agua.

I ordered this product just because of Braun & also saw many positive reviews but after using it for few months, Compared to the traditional razor -1. It takes a lot of time to shave with electric razor2. You cannot shave beard which is more unshaved for more than 2 weeks with electric razor.3. Cleaning is easier but within 3 months of usage blade got damaged, not so great quality.4. Some areas under the chin was hard to shave with electric and I had to repeat shaving multiple times in the same spot, I have moved back to regular razor and probably use this once in a while.

Leider bin ich drauf reingefallen, man hätte drauf kommen können.Das Gerät ist für den US Markt gedacht, hat also einen US Netz Stecker.Darauf wird aber im Angebot leider nicht hingewiesen.Ich habe erst später gesehen das im Preisfenster als Vertieb Amazone US steht,desweiteren hat das Gerät einen zusatz Modus (Turbo) der im Deutschen Marktscheinbar gar nicht Angeboten wird. In den erweiterten Beschreibungen wird auf evtl.andere Garantie Bedingungen hingewiesen, unter Umständen hätte man die in Amerika geltend machen müssen. Und die lange Lieferzeit hätte einen auch stutzig machen müssen.Und die Bewertungen waren alle in Englisch.Da das Gerät eine Universalpannung von 100 bis 240 Volt verträgt, kann man natürlich ein “Deutsches” Netzteil nach Ordern und die Grantie Ignorieren. Trotzdem wäre ein eindeutiger Hinweis hilfreich gewesen.Habe das Ding zurückgeschickt, da das nach Amazone Las Vegas geht, ist das Porto auch heftig:19,99 mit DHL ohne Versicherung. Auch diesen Klima Fußabdruck hatte man sich Sparen können. SchadeHabe mir ein Europäisches nachbestellt, alles Top!
