Soothing noise machine will have you wishing you’d gotten one sooner.
I do not own a Dot or an Alexa speaker, but I have had white noise machines in the past when my children were small (youngest turns 12 this week). The last one was one of those ones that runs with fan in the middle and it was often loud and unbalanced.This little white noise machine is truly a “dream machine” compared to those previous attempts at masking unwanted noises! I currently work remotely from home…and my house is 5 doors away from a middle school. The bells, screams, honking, and general noise pollution from the school runs from 7a-3:30p every weekday, and is often so loud that clients can hear it through my Teams and phone calls.I originally was interested in this device for it’s ability to function as a wireless speaker (remember my previous white noise machine issues), which it does do admirably. However where it really shines the the variety of programmed “white noise” selections, including several varieties of repeating sounds (fan noises).This little critter currently lives in the hall just outside my office, where I can now work in relative peace. No more complaints from clients asking if I’m working while at the Circus due to background noises. The timer function is particularly helpful so I don’t forget to turn it off; however I do wish I could be set for longer than 8 hours as I have a 12 hour workday.Items that support work-life balance and stress reduction always have a value beyond money, and I’m happy to report that this Dreamegg is one of those items. Happily recommend for people who need less noise and more calm.

Works great – can assure you this easily fills a room!
I need complete quiet to sleep and easily get annoyed with constant sound especially when neighbors blast their music very loudly even from a different building!! Enter this Dreamegg! It’s conveniently USB-C powered so while they do recommend you use the included power brick adapter, I did test it with multiple power banks and power strips with USB-C ports and they all worked just fine with it making it easy to use anywhere you might need it. My partner snores loudly and I need complete quiet to sleep. Even though we sleep in separate rooms, the walls in our apartment are thin with no insulation for any kind of noise isolation. Sometimes, I manage to hear him snoring even though both our doors are closed and I cannot sleep. He, on the other hand, sleeps like a rock. I went into his room, plugged in the dream egg and turned it on my favorite white noise sound. I closed his door and went back to my room….like magic, I could not hear him nor the dreamegg! I love this product!! I also like to use it when I’m trying to focus on some work where I also tend to need silence but the neighbors play loud music either inside their apartments or on their balcony. Well, placing the dreamegg on my balcony full blast and closing my door helps to drown out their noise. It is easier to tune out the “noise residue” of my dreamegg’s white noise then their loud music. The dreamegg comes with 29 different sounds, 7 of those are white noise. Honestly, the 1 white noise sound that is my favorite is probably going to be the only sound I use when I’m trying to actually drown out noise. It just works better for me. I won’t really be using the bluetooth speaker feature either because I already have a bunch of “smart speakers” at home that I don’t have a need for this one. The reason I prefer to use a dream egg vs a smart speaker for white noise is that sometimes you have to pay to stream the white noise somewhere or you have interruptions or apps or things you have to download then there’s phone interruptions, etc. I rather not deal with any of that and be able to use my phone however I want even if I happen to be playing white noise. It’s just convenient. The 1 thing this dreamegg is missing speaking of convenience is a remote control. Even without one, this is great value and I’m not removing a star for no remote control but I have to say that adding one would make this a more perfect product! As is, I highly recommend it.
