    Best Ever, heart monitor!
I have a Samsung 3 watch I have been using for a quite a while. My doctor has been monitoring me with my loop recorder.I believe my loop recorder, soon will no longer be available to me so I bought this to get a better quality reading than the old watch. Since I bought the EMAY I now get a much more comprehensive readout which I wanted for myself, and when I go to my checkups, I’ll be able to have more relevant questions. My EMAY does the job very well and the analysis is very nice. Ive seen results from Apple Watches and Kardia and this is far superior. No more trying to interpret the results by myself, this one tells you a wide variety of arrythmias that are going on. The price is good too!

Easy to set-up and use right away!
So far, so good! Set up was fairly easy and using it is pretty simple, too. I even downloaded the app as well. I do like the fact that there are no subscriptions involved in order to use this EMAY ECG monitor, and I can send reports to my cardiologist very easily whenever I need to. I can also back-up my reports on my computer for my own records. The reports are also stored on the equipment as well. And I love the size – small enough to fit into my handbag or a travel case.

    A useful tool
Just like any medical device, it’s only worthwhile if you are in touch with your physician who can interpret its findings in the correct context and validate it with more precise tests. That being said, I’ve been having some palpitations lately and as I’m waiting for my appointment I decided to buy this. It’s really easy to use, no subscription required. I am able to see some ectopy on my ekg, what looks like occasional PACs. It did reassure me that I wasn’t in a-fib. However, it did not interpret those abnormal beats that were clearly evident on the image. That being said, I’m impressed overall at what this little device is capable of and will keep it handy.

Need moistened pieces of paper towel for contact.
Initially had difficulty getting a signal. Then did the obvious for those with experience with EKGs. I took a piece of paper towel and tore off three small pieces (half inch each) dipped each in water and placed over the four metal contacts. I was then able to immediately get a strong response and good six-lead EKG without artifact. My only problem is that it does not show my pacemaker pulse (nor does the Kardia) They appear to be filtered out.

    EMAY Rocks!
What a fantastic device! I was having some palpitations. I showed this device to my cardiologist in an appointment recently. I then asked him if I should wear a Holter monitor – he said, no just use my EMAY and send him the reports so I can capture them. Lastly, a person reached out to me from EMAY, which was above and beyond just to find out how I was doing with it. Lastly, no monthly fees! A must buy!

    A Handy Home Diagnostic Tool
I purchased this monitor after my husband had to go into the hospital due to A-fib. They performed a cardioversion which stabilized his heart rhythm. I wanted to have something at home to detect the A-fib should it recur, and the EMay device seemed to be the best option. We see tons of commercials for the Kardia device, but it requires a paid subscription to get all the features that the EMay comes with out of the box. The fact that the device has its own color screen is a nice addition. The Android app is quite easy to install and use, and it can keep track of several users, so I created separate profiles for my husband and myself. One potential downside of the device is that since my husband has circulation problems, it cannot always detect his heartbeat when he uses his thumbs; we sometimes have to measure with his palms to get a reading. It does have a USB-C port for charging and connecting to a computer, so I am hopeful that in the future it might be able to accept a set of USB wired leads. Other than that, the EMay 6L is a very useful device and well worth the price.

Some limitations, but impressive device overall
I’m very impressed with this device overall, but it has limitations. I took this to the hospital where I work and all the doctors who saw it were very interested in this device and wanted to try it out, so I will include technical ECG details in this review helpful for them as well. No personally identifiable health care information will be included in this review. We did not and would not use this machine on any of our actual patients; this is a home use device for consumers. That said, several of the doctors wanted to know where they could buy one for their own home use, and I directed them to this listing here on Amazon. Any EKG tracings are anonymous examples only and include no personal information. No personal health advice will be given. If you’re worried about your own heart health, make sure you consult with your own doctors about this in a timely manner. ECG and EKG mean the same thing: electrocardiogram.- This is a 3-lead ECG/EKG device that will display a tracing of 6 limb leads: I, II, III, and additionally it displays the calculated leads aVR, aVL, and aVF. The tracings can be displayed clearly on my tablet device by downloading the app. This overall works very well and is easy to use. There is also included software that can be used with a home desktop or laptop computer, but I did not use that. The corresponding leads on a typical 12-lead machine are the Red, Black, and White leads. The Right Leg/Green grounding lead on a 12-lead machine is not needed for this portable device. Touch right and left fingers on the front and touch to your left leg on the back and it works. If you only want a single lead, there is a switch for that, then just a right and left finger on each side of the front of the device will do.- The P waves did not always display very clearly when I tested this several times, often the amplitude was too low and there was frequent artifact. Also some minor general baseline artifact here and there. The greater amplitude QRS complexes displayed better, T waves in-between. ST segments generally displayed clearly. PR segments less reliable. The QRS axis can be easily calculated within about 10 to 15 degrees by anyone who knows how to read the vectors. Most basic rhythms and common arrhythmias can be quickly sorted.- This is not the same quality as a hospital grade EKG and not meant to be, and it shouldn’t be relied upon as a home substitute for that. Anyone worried about a serious heart issue or chest pain should call 911 and go to the nearest hospital with an Emergency Department.- This does clearly display regular and irregular rhythms. If it gives an arrhythmia warning, this should be checked by a qualified medical professional. The lack of P wave clarity can make some atrial arrhythmias difficult to sort, but regular versus irregular can be seen at a glance, and some P waves are more clear, even if lower in amplitude.- Can’t rely on the on-board interpretation software. One EKG clearly showed left axis deviation, others showed non-diagnostic T-wave abnormalities. Another showed voltage criteria for LVH in lead aVL. The machine indicated “No Abnormalities” in all these. Leave it to trained health care professionals to interpret EKGs.- This does not include chest leads V1 to V6. That isn’t a negative because the device isn’t built for that. As such though, this should not be looked at as a substitute for that.- The carry case is not included, that is an additional purchase, also conveniently available here on Amazon. For a EKG device of this quality, I ordered that as well.

I have a history of mitral valve prolapse syndrome (Barlow’s Syndrome). I felt that in 1980 and visited the cardiologist who let me see it in the ECG he performed for me. That appeared in the form of a Premature Ventricular Complex (PVC). Later, I followed up my case, everytime to undergo an ECG and get a report. Ten years ago, the cardiologist discovered Aortic Valve insufficiency with increased blood regurgitation of both the mitral and the aortic valves, a mild left ventricle hypertrophy and an increased number of PVCs. Recently, I felt that my case needed more frequent visits to the cardiologist for follow-up or, if there is someway, to try to observe oneslf at home. The Emay monitor seems to be an excellent device to use everday to see if there are any developments. This helps to decide on when to visit the cardiologist. My son who is a frequent customer of Amazon, decided to bring it as a gift to me. I am observing my ECG using this monitor on daily basis and I feel it is giving me peace of mind. Of course, according to the EMAY development team recommendations, if I feel any dangerous developments, I will immediately visit my cardiologist. Thanks to the EMAY 6L Portable ECG Monitor team for making things so easy.

Simple to set up, works very easily giving a single or 6 lead ECG reading. Instantly visible on the machines screen, with the option of downloading to phone or PC for a larger scale view. Seems to be accurate in the assessment of the readouts, and is reassuring if normal, but very helpful in knowing when to consult further if not.

This is an excellent device. It is small, portable and very easy to set up, to use and to charge. You don’t have to download the Emay app for it to work but it is better if you do, as you can share the results with others, and save them as a back-up on your computer for your own records (they are also stored on the device). It is very simple and quick to use – just place it on your bare left knee so the back electrode has skin contact, place thumbs over the front electrodes and hold for 30 seconds. The device gives instant results which you can download through the app, in less than a minute, to print out or share. For anyone with heart health concerns, it is a good way of self-monitoring and avoiding unnecessary trips to the doctor every time you feel a twinge. Of course, it doesn’t replace professional advice but when you get a ‘no abnormalities’ result it gives peace of mind, and if abnormalities are detected, you have the evidence to show your doctor. It stores information for two users,  and is an essential piece of kit for anyone worried about heart health, especially those with occasional arrhythmias or (often harmless) ectopic beats. I have used the smaller version before but I prefer this 6-lead version as it gives a fuller picture. Highly recommended.

I am absolutely delighted with this product. It was so easy to set up, so quick & easy to use & gives instant feedback. I had no problem connecting to my mobile phone, where I also have all the readings stored & can see clearly. My next step is to connect to my laptop so that I can print out for, or email to, my doctor. This was definitely good value for money, so glad I bought it & gives me peace of mind.

only received the device on 12 July 25.The device was well packaged and very secure in its box.I found the instructions easy to follow and it is really clear how to use.The down load of the app was equally easy to download load from the App Store and set up. I downloaded to my iPad. This gives you much clearer results (in my opinion ) and makes the reading easier to view.I have completed 5 reading’s now and I am impressed of the professional lay out of the chart, it looks like the professional ones you get from a medical establishment ie your GP or emergency department.I now feel confident in capturing my heart rhythm when it plays up and sharing the results with the medical professionals. When I have ECG’s at the gp or ed it never captures the arrhythmia I have had. Now I can capture the readings with this simple to use Emay 6 lead ecg device.Read the instructions upon receiving your device, and then practice a couple of times on yourself.Simply hold both thumbs on the two pads left and right and place the bottom pad just above your bare left knee.Hold still for thirty seconds and you have your result. The beauty with this device is it tells you instantly what it detected. I connect it to my iPad via Bluetooth download and I can view the whole thirty second incident. You don’t need a senseless subscription either, what’s not to like.In breath if you are concerned with how your heart is performing this little machine will help give you some peace of mind, it does me.So far very pleased.
