I was inspired by the high prices of scalp treatments to make my own essential oil mixture for treating my always itchy, funky scalp. I had purchased a packaged scalp treatment from a big box store, and realized it was basically made out of several essential oils in a carrier liquid. I had a big bottle of leave-in conditioner/detangling spray, so I decanted a bit of it into a smaller spray bottle to begin making a starter batch of my own custom scalp care product.This kit contains tea tree, peppermint, rosemary, and lavender oils. All of these essential oils are recommended to balance and soothe the scalp and are usually found in scalp treatments. I filled the four ounce spray bottle almost full of leave-in conditioner/detangler, and added just a drop or two of the oils to the bottle. Make sure you always dilute essential oils, as they can be too harsh and/or irritating to use undiluted on the skin.I sprayed my scalp with the mixture and immediately felt that “ahhhh!” response that you get from expensive scalp treatments. As my scalp was a bit irritated from hair dye, I added an extra drop of tea tree oil, which is known to be an anti-bacterial and also feels soothing on irritated skin. (Again- ALWAYS dilute essential oils before applying to the skin.)Rosemary has been known to stimulate hair growth, tea tree is anti-bacterial and is soothing, along with peppermint and lavender. The other oil I would like to add to my scalp mixture is clary sage. This kit doesn’t have that in it, but the other oils it contains- patchouli, lemon grass, ylang ylang, eucalyptus and sweet orange- will come in handy, I realized, to make a home-made bathroom air freshener spray. Just fill a little spray bottle almost all the way with water, and add a few drops of the oils of your preference. Shake before spraying.These oils, for their reasonable price point, are potent and not dilute. If an essential oil is of a lesser (diluted) quality, you end up using a lot of the oil in an attempt to get enough of the active essence in a mixture. With these oils, just a drop or two was sufficient. They also smell fresh, and are very pleasant to the nose. I don’t care for patchouli on me, so I gifted it to a friend. She was impressed with the quality of the oil as well.This kit is a comprehensive batch of useful essential oils for a great price. Highly recommended!

Personal Preference Really Matters!
I wanted to explore scents for my new oil diffuser. The packaging is amazing, and ridiculous to open. After meditation, prayer, and lots of luck I was finally able to break the seal with a blow torch! A loud booming voice said “The 7th Seal has been broken.” But I’m pretty sure that was the TV. A complimentary dropper is enclosed which is amazing! The bottles were exactly the opposite, easy to open. I assumed that there would be a consistent pattern and opened my least favorite first- patchouli. I am only covered in a little bit now but small animals, insects, and children are maintaining a respectful distance while asking their mother “Eww mommy why does that lady stink?” I thought I heard the mother explain this is what happens when we don’t bath. Moving on, I’m very fond of and familiar with Lavender & Rosemary & Sweet Orange – once my favorites. This product has ruined that because they all stink to high heaven equally. If peppermint smelled like this I’m certain we would have never discovered it as a sweet treat flavor… then again someone really grabbed a mushroom out of a cow patty and went to town. I thought perhaps Ylang Ylang must be wonderful right… right? NO. Not true. Maybe it is a good toilet cleaner because that’s what it smells like- industrial grade cover-the-smell-of-public-use bathroom cleaner; if bathroom cleaner is supposed to knock you on your behind and keep you from sitting to long. Tea Tree is known to be slightly unpleasantly scented but holy hell batman- they have outdone themselves. No one will ever get into unknown greenery if you cover the rash in this! No chiggers would dare come within a 50 mile radius to bite. Actually sprinkle it in your grass as a flea, tick, chigger, human being deterrent. I’m not even going to smell lemon grass. I about passed out smelling Eucalyptus- sniff at your own risk.

Decent for the price.
These smell nice. However, the bottles are super tiny and the drops really don’t come out very easily. There is a dropper included that you can Insert into a bottle but you have to remove the plugger first. Just be careful to not spill any..like I did. Lol

Variety, quality, great set for mixes of oils
Wow, such a great set, really gives you many different scents and types of essential oils to choose from. I make my own mixes, so this is perfect. Just made a mix for my diffuser of lavender, eucalyptus, and tea trea oils in order to clear a sinus headache, and it’s working! Highly recommended, and very happy with the quality and variety included in this product
