No certifications, but still more than sufficient for anything not mission critical.
It’s very decent for the price, especially during sales.Pros:1. It’s solidly built and heavier than expected for a surge protector in this price range. In this case, it’s weight is a positive thing because the outer casing is most likely steel. This will help for durability for environments like workbenches or getting thrown into the back of a van for some portable setup.2. It’s got 8 outlets in a 19 inch space. That means plenty of space for the bulkiest plug-in power supplies.3. Each outlet has a switch, and each switch is lit. You only need to glance at it to know the power status of each thing plugged into it. If you’re hitting those older years and got your first set of reading glasses like me, you definitely don’t want to be forced to find the correct switch by feeling around or know which way is on/off by randomly flipping switches. You also don’t need your motivation zapped, so you stubbornly won’t admit defeat or you simply don’t have the time to switch between your safety glasses and sawdust covered readers hanging round your neck just to read a worn on/off label.4. The switches have strong springs in them, so they give a satisfying strong click when they are flipped and aren’t prone to being accidentally flipped.5. The switches are in front with the plugs in back which makes it best suited for rack mounting. However, that arrangement is also perfect for under table mounting to help hide away cables attached to that heavy saw or drill press that you sure as heck aren’t lifting without bribing your kid for help.6. I bought the one with the 10ft cord so I’d have the length for a permanent install instead of dealing with annoying extension cords. It seems like almost every other power strip/surge protector is stuck with a 6ft/2m cable or hard to find in the massive Amazon inventory. This one also has a 15ft/4.5m option.7. The mounting tabs rotate in 90 degree increments for mounting in any orientation. It comes with the necessary screws (for both rack mounting and wall mounting), nuts (for rack mounting), and plastic fasteners (for wall mounting).Cons:1. As other’s have mentioned it does not have any certifications so I wouldn’t use it for anything stupidly expensive or mission critical. So you are left with some doubt if it’s protection rating is correct. Minus one star.2. The holes to put in the single screw holding the rotating mounting tabs to the end caps is too small. It does come with some self tapping screws, but the hole is small enough that it takes some strength and patience to get the screw to thread all the way in. Be careful if you try to use a powered screwdriver to get them in as you’re likely to strip the head off these small phillips screws. I ended up slowly and very carefully using the tip of a 3/32″ drill bit to ream out the hole just enough to get the screw going. You could probably do the same by using a small razor blade or X-acto knife. Minus one star.3. The endcaps are plastic despite the rest of the casing and mounting tabs being steel. However, that plastic looks decently strong and thick with each one held on with 4 screws.4. No extra screws or nuts are included in case you lose one. However, if you’re planning on permanently mounting it you are likely the type of person that has plenty of spares on hand.Overall, the pros outweigh the cons. The cons are mostly minor inconveniences so it should earn back at least one star to make it 4/5. It’s not perfect, but good enough for many situations if you read the reviews here so you know what you are getting into.

A tiny bit larger than 1U
works fine for its intended purpose, but it is actually just slightly larger (just a couple mm) than 1U, so if you have a full rack it might be a tight fit. Also can’t put blanks in both the unit above and below, so either have to fabricate something to fill the space that is just a hair under 1U that you’re left with, or just leave it open.
