It’s great , plain psyllium in a resealabel bag
It is difficult to find plain pysillium fiber in the drug stores. All of it is mixed with sugar, fake sugar or other stuff. This is just plain pysillium , which we needed for our dog’s digestive issues, per his vet. I can’t say he likes it all that much, but when he’s done with this protocol, I will be using it for myself. It is a very fine powder and seems to be a great quality. I like that it comes in a resealable bag . I just use my own tiny scooper.

Great for dogs!
I have a dog with IBD disease and I needed this for a fiber supplement in his meals. I was hesitant at first due to him being a picky eater and ANYTHING like this , he would just turn his nose up to. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this has no scent or flavor and I am able to sprinkle this on his meals without him even knowing. It’s quite effective as by day 2 his stools were firming right up again and his tummy grumbles were stopping altogether. I did find this easier to distribute by putting it in a saltshaker for even distribution. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is the bag it comes in is SUCH a pain to close once it’s opened. The powder gets stuck in the tracks of the zipper and is near impossible to seal up properly. I wish they would put this in a bottle or can instead. I ended up putting the bag in a ziplock to keep it fresh. I will 100% be ordering this product again.

CAT PARENTS: Avoid! Do not recommend!
I’m sure this is great for humans, so no qualms in that arena (hence the 3 stars). IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING THIS FOR YOUR CAT, LOOK ELSEWHERE.I turned to this in hopes of aiding my 8 yo, 13 lb male tabby whose BMs (smaller, hard-ish) have some room for improvement. I’ve had him on liquid probiotic supplements to no avail for the last 6 months and turned to this hoping for some actual results. He only eats wet food so I wasn’t too worried about the potential for obstruction due to lack of water and I started off giving him 1/8 tsp per day (in food) just to be cautious. I didn’t notice any change in the first week and by the second week, he was peeing less which started to concern me. By the end of the second week he was peeing only once in 24 hours (and a much smaller than usual amount) which is totally not normal and was extremely concerning. I cut out the psyllium husk powder and he thankfully went back to urinating normally (it took two days for him to be totally back to normal urine output). All the while, still not seeing any improvement in his daily business.I cannot stress how upsetting and nerve-racking this experience was as the entire time he was eating and acting normal so unless you’re a person who’s very observant re their litter habits daily (or in my case, multiple times a day), you could miss this. In short, even a cat on a wet food only diet can become extremely dehydrated from only 1/8 tsp a day. THIS IS NOT WORTH TRYING, IMO.I found a probiotic powder (Fera Pets Probiotic + Prebiotics) that’s working wonders in the BM Dept- if only I had found that first before going through this hell. I feel awful for putting him through this and hope my experience can steer other cat parents away from it.Best of luck to all!

For humans and cats
The vet said that my cat might have colitis, and that one of the easiest things to try to treat it would be to add plain Metamucil or plain psyllium powder to her wet food. This product was much more affordable than any name brand or store brand plain flavor, and it mixes into her wet food very easily. She is an extremely picky eater and adding about a quarter teaspoon has not deterred her from eating all of the food she usually loves

How Psyllium of me!
Every morning I put on coffee. While it percolates, I pour a tumbler of water and stir in a healthy spoonful of psyllium. It’s not pretty: it looks like a glass of dirty water. It’s tasteless—a blessing. I drink it fast. The reward comes later, away from the kitchen. 😊

Has a muddy colour and taste. Tried the first serving and will not finish the rest. Bag does not reseal properly. Will never buy this brand again.
