Great gift!
My 6-year-old niece loved this! She is always wanting to do her hair but is too young for anything permanent. So, this gave her the independence to do her own hair in fun styles. It was easy for her to use and figure out the different parts. Always excited when she does a new style. Good price point for fun.

Better Suited for Dolls than Children
I bought this for my 6yo daughter. Very cheaply made. The chalk applicator ripped out a bunch of her hair and there was hardly any color. The “bling” shapes are difficult to thread through the applicator. When applying, she complains that it is hurts (I think it pulls just a few strands that pull at the root). It is difficult to remove the protective plastic layers. It would be OK for use on dolls, but for human heads, I would not recommend.

Bought has an “extra” Christmas gift. It is all my 4 year old talks about. It’s great – wished they had more options for rhinestones but a very good introductory set to see if they are into hair gems and stuff.

Don’t spend your money
Daughter had fun but the gems don’t really stick, there’s almost no color on the hair coloring chalk. It does not work. I wouldn’t purchase again.
