First Impression: Good and Inexpensive
I bought the 8 pack because I’m always ‘misplacing’ mine when I need them. We know from the price and description that these aren’t going to match Stanley 212s with a 3/4″ blade but they aren’t intended to. They’re a great first tape for someone learning, or for someone who keeps losing his. The clip doesn’t go into my pocket as easily as the Stanley and the blade lock doesn’t work as smoothly. On the other hand, when it is hanging on my pocket the 1/2″ tape is slimmer and doesn’t hang up on cabinets and door jams as often. All in all a good purchase.

Used them for work
Got this pack for the job, they lock well, they function well for a standard tape measure, the size is perfect to not lose but it isn’t bulky. Would def recommend for on the job situations.

Nice little Tape Measure that fits my pocket
on a daily basis. Always carry one with me, (except in the shower). . . I even gave one to a friend of mine, just because I wanted to. . . and at age 81, I doubt if I will ever use them all before my end, or the end of this system, whichever comes first. . . lol.

Decent size and Smooth retraction
I have several barns, pump houses, and sheds. My tape measures were never where I needed them. Now I have them scattered about. The tape measures are a nice size with smooth retraction. I’m happy with my purchase.

Inexpensive and functional
I use my tape measures in typically unfriendly tool environments for general measurements. I am not worried if I am 1/16″ off for what I am doing and so have not verified that the measurements are exactly correct. As a result of my work, the tapes get frequently wet and sometimes muddy. I wipe them down and just keep working. Occasionally I will spool out the tape and hit it with WD-40, but that is rare. I end up ruining a tape about every three or four months, usually due to rust.For me, these are an excellent value and very functional for my needs.

Great bang for your buck
I buy these for work for myself and the crew I work with. They’re a great size, the locking mechanism works well, and frankly we’re always losing tape measures, so these are perfect to buy in bulk at this price.The ones we manage to keep around for over a year hold up to regular use well, we’ve never had one break. Just be aware if you release the the lock and let it retract on its own, there’s a possibility it can whip about and give you a cut (I’ve done this). I wouldn’t consider this a product defect, just when you’ve got a tape measure this tape width and thickness there’s enough flexibility due to the narrowness that it can do that.This also means that at the full 12 feet, if you’re not laying it flat on the ground, (say, you’re trying to do a horizontal wall measurement) you’ll need someone else to hold an end or it will fold over.

Won’t last you very long
These are super cheap. Only a couple months in using for home improvement tasks (not professionally), and about half have had the end tab tear off or form a weird kink about 2″ from the end which makes taking measurements difficult. Would not recommend.

Somewhere in my house there must be a draw with about 67 tape measures tucked away. Meanwhile I struggle to get my hands on one when I actually need one. This is my second purchase of this 8 lot of measures. They seem well built, right sized for pocket carry and long enough for most tasks around the house. At this price i don’t mind buying more. Now, if I can only hang onto them!
