Great, affordable, and a few tips…
Originally bought a Wahoo HRM (Heart Rate Monitor). Too expensive and started reading inaccurate (just old and well used). Found Moofit at a good price. I bought two, and about to buy another one. Both brands are great, but this one is more affordable. The strap is plenty long enough for bigger bodies too. My husband and I use the Wahoo app with it, and it works just fine. Initial set up is fine, but can take a second, especially when we were trying to connect both, each to our own phones, at the same time. Sometimes it takes Wahoo a fat second to connect, and for us, we had to make sure the old Wahoo HRM was completely deleted before our new HRM would work on the app. So basically only one HRM on Wahoo app works best. We tried to put more than one (like have old Wahoo HRM and new Moofit to choose and use from), and just wouldn’t work for us. We also noticed it was not good to try to rename our HRM in the Wahoo app or we had connections problems. So stick with whatever weird name it has. (Some techie is probably saying no duh. Hey, we like to mess with stuff. Haha) Anyway, if we’ve had problems it was usually the app and not the HRM with the issues. Here are some tricks we learned though. After you already have your HRM all set up and connected to the app you want and you know your connection usually works fine with your HRM, if your HRM won’t connect then try wetting the plastic part of the belt. While it’s strapped to me I dip my fingers in a bowl of water and then run them on the plastic part of the strap that touches the skin. (Good old electrical concepts.) Works every time. If it doesn’t then it may be your heart is beating slower, so it might not connect until you start exercising and your heart rate increases. Here is why I mention this… For a long time, even with Wahoo HRM, we couldn’t figure out why my husband had such a hard time connecting, but I didn’t. We kept replacing good batteries. However, when we bought two Moofit HRM and mine worked just fine but my husband’s still didn’t, we started to experiment. We would switch, and once again I was just fine but not my husband. However, after starting to exercise, his HRM would magically start to work. Well, he has an enlarged heart, and his heart beats way slower than mine. Plus men’s hearts naturally beat slower than women. So once my husband gets his heart pumping a bit then he has no problems connecting. Hopefully these tips help some that struggle with their HRM connections. Otherwise, it’s usually the app (sorry this review is for the Wahoo app only), the Bluetooth connection (your phone/device?), a bad HRM, or some other unknown problem (like Moofit does have a left and right side so make sure to snap it on correctly, and yes, unsnap and clean your salty sweat off after use.) So far, we like the Moofit. We’ve had ours since June 2021 and still on the same battery with exercising 3-4 times a week for 1-1.5 hours. We were sad when we lost one while hiking/camping, so we’re buying another one.

Works great with Concept 2 PM5 & ErgData Android App
Had trouble understanding the instructions for a minute but figured it out. The “turning on” happens when you put a little water on the TWO vinyl-ish pads that are on either side of the place where you snap the monitor to the strap. I originally though the water should go on the backside of the monitor. Of course, wetting the wrong place, it wouldn’t turn on, and I was about to return it. Then I realized that I had wet the wrong sides. Once I wet the pads and put it on, everything worked perfectly. The Concept 2 PM5 took a couple seconds to see it after connecting it as a heart rate monitor (not using ANT+). I use the ErgData app and connect to the PM5, then connect the heart rate monitor and my entire rowing session is preserved in the app broke down into 5 minute sections with avg heart rate. Cheap and great; While ignoring and pushing my heartrate wasn’t an issue when I was in my 20’s, in my 50’s, it’s a whole different story. This helps me to stay in the zone at 70-75% of max heartrate without bumping to high or falling too low.

    Not accurate
I purchased this heart rate monitor to use as a low-cost alternative to the lionheart monitors that they use at my F45 gym. It synced really easy to their system but the accuracy is a problem. I do have a pacemaker so I don’t know if maybe that interferes with this heart rate monitor somehow? I didn’t expect it to be 100% the same as my Apple Watch but the differences were so vast that I just stopped using it. One day during class a trainer approached me to ask if I was OK because the heart rate monitor was clocking my heart rate at over 200 bpm. That is impossible as my pacemaker automatically bumps my heart rate down low if I get over 150 due to my heart condition. I was also just recently checked out by my cardiologist and there are no records of my heart rate ever being that high per my pacemaker that paces and tracks my heart rate 100% of the time. My last workout my Apple Watch shows my average beats per minute at 116 but this heart rate monitor shows my average beats per minute at 88. I’ve tried adjusting the strap, adding more moisture putting it into m the opposite way, nothing helps. Unfortunately shortly after purchasing this I took a weeklong vacation and I totally missed my return window otherwise this would be going back. The good qualities are it synced really well to my gym system via Bluetooth and the chest strap was very comfortable.

Strap too large, but sensor accurate
The HR monitor works great and is comfortable, but the strap does stretch over the course of the first few wears. Unfortunately that means that it is now too large for me (it doesn’t tighten any more), so if you are petite you might try to find a strap with a smaller length.

    Works well & good value
I’ve been using this product nearly everyday for about a year. It is a great value. I use it with a Garmin Edge using ANT+. It works as well as any of the prior major brand chest strap heart rate monitors I’ve used for the past 20+ years. It has definitely out lasted some. After riding I detach the monitor component, place it in closed container with a desicant (rice) to avoid moisture damage, and rinse or wash the strap.Immediately before using I put a little water on my chest and the plastic on the back of the strap.Very dry conditions has negatively impacted all of the chest strap heart rate monitors I’ve used to be highly unreliable.

    Second one, works great
I ordered one of these many years ago for biking. I lost it so decided to give it another try. Worked fine, just like the last one. Something I had trouble with initially was connecting to strava. This was because I had already connected the device to my phone via bluetooth. Once I removed (forgot) the connection on my phone and opened the strava app back up, it saw it and connected right away.

    Works as expected
Bought this just to see how fast my heart rate goes when I drink energy drinks. Turns out, I’ve been hitting 120 bpm like I’m training for a sprint… while sitting on the couch. Basically discovered my heart’s doing cardio while I’m doing nothing

The only thing I didn’t like about it was the metal strap that had a plastic covering possibly to protect it from rust, after 8 months of use the plastic cover on the metal started to peel off.
