No icky sugar substitutes, yet low cal and affordable
It’s actually a very good tasting protein bar imo. Especially in comparison to other bars out there. The texture and taste are good. While not loaded with calories they use real ingredients, no sugar substitute which is a plus in my book. Too many protein bars opt for sugar substitute which leaves a gross aftertaste. The price is also affordable in comparison to other protein bars. I do wish they had a non chocolate option for variety. But no gross fruity stuff. Actually, snickerdoodle would be great with this texture!

Eat these daily – hold me over for hours
I love the cookie dough flavor! Some reviewers mention the texture is a bit like playdough, and while I can see that, it doesn’t bother me. To me, it feels like eating a soft bar of cookie dough, without any protein powder residue or aftertaste. There’s a slight essence of protein powder on the first bite, but it disappears quickly. The bar is a decent size (if you know, you know—the protein bar sizing struggle) and doesn’t upset my stomach. I also find these keep me satisfied for a few hours, making them perfect between meals.I just ordered the brownie flavor – will report back.Update: The chocolate brownie reminded me of the lil Debbie cosmic brownies minus the candy topping with a hint of protein flavor. They are a dense with a smooth chocolate frosting on top and little crunchies throughout for texture. I definitely prefer the chocolate chip to the brownie – the brownie was too rich for me to eat the whole thing but I’m a vanilla over chocolate person for reference.

Decent taste
Decent protein bar. It honestly doesn’t taste amazing, but it’s not chalky or stale. There are plenty of chocolate chips in them and it’s a decent snack if you need some protein. However, just an FYI, this bar would not be considered a high protein snack. In order to know if something is a good source of protein, you take the amount of protein per serving and multiply it by 10 and if that number is equal to or greater than the amount of calories per serving, then it’s a good source of protein. Here, it’s 10 x 10 = 100 and the amount of calories is 150.

Delicious, Healthy, Convenient!
I purchased the Orgain Organic Vegan Protein Bars in the chocolate chip flavor. They taste so delicious! The texture is as expected with most any vegan bar, soft, which I prefer better than crispy/crunchy. These bars are a great replacement for my usual more expensive protein bars and I love the taste without the guilt! I have them every morning with my coffee. Easy on-the-go snack or breakfast.

Tasty, but flavor varies
I’ve reordered these many times because I really like these bars, but they’re not perfect. I like them because they satisfy my sweet tooth for relatively few calories and provide some protein. All three of those things are important considerations for me since I had weight loss surgery. On the down side, they’re pretty gritty. That’s partly due to the “crisps” and partly due to the protein powder I’m sure, so it’s to be expected. The other issue is that the taste and texture vary considerably from batch to batch. I suspect this is a good thing because it reflects the fact that these aren’t rolling off an industrial production line, stuffed full of additives and preservatives, but it means that sometimes it’s different (and worse than usual). This particular order is darker in color and leaves an aftertaste that I really don’t like. However, the chocolate chips and the slight chewiness are yummy. I’ll definitely be ordering again, but I’m hoping that the taste change isn’t due to a reformulation. If it is, I’ll have to find a new treat.

Not great
Not great. Orgain protein powder is fantastic, so I expected the same from these bars. Although they seemed fresh, the texture wasn’t great and the flavor was kind of bland. They were filling and convenient, but plenty of other bars are as well. Value is decent as far as amount per box, but wouldn’t really recommend if your goal is flavor.

Impressive
I hate the taste of protein bars but these are very good. I didn’t get that protein taste. I like that they are solid and not crumbly. My only negative comment is they are too sweet. If they cut the sugar by 25% they’d be perfect. Love that they contain 10g of protein.
