I have hEDS and POTS and my legs bother me so much, I can honestly say that I can tell a difference when I use these leg massagers at least once a day! They’ve become a staple in my after work routine and are definitely worth $60. The only thing I would change is making the air cord slightly longer

I absolutely love these boots! My husband purchased me a pair because I was having leg problems after working all day at the salon. These have helped with restless leg syndrome and pain from varicose veins. My husband purchased the first pair and I have this pair coming for my 94 year old aunt that has swollen legs. I use these almost every single night and they feel so good. They almost put me to sleep. I tried two other types of compression boots and these are definitely the ones for me due to where and how they compress on the feet and the legs. They also have heat as well as compression massage. We first tried the thigh high ones from this company and they were just too much to get in and out of that I knew I would not use them often. These knee-high ones are perfect! I tried some cordless ones as well and they just did not have the strength of compression. I also purchased my niece a pair of compression boots when she was heavily pregnant and coming home with swollen legs daily. That helped immensely. I saw that one other reviewer mentioned that they burned her legs. There must’ve been something faulty with her pair. I do not find the heat to be overly hot even on the highest setting.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS!

Quality and features of more expensive units
I’m comparing this to what I experienced during a hospital stay, and it works just as well or better.The ‘massage’ feature on these type of units, apparently can call it a ‘massage’ even though it’s just compression/release cycles, not actually massaging. Anyone new to these expecting the ‘massage’ to feel like hands rapidly squeezing, & releasing muscles will be disappointed, as they don’t work that way.I wanted a device that would allow me to max the compression just short of pain for maximum circulation, and these allow that, and much milder, if that’s all you want. You can opt to just massage your feet, or just massage your calves, or both with a nice range of heat settings.A reviewer complained that they didn’t like the controls, but they are very simple once you learn to pay attention to the graphic that clearly shows what you’ve selected. For example, the intensity levels are shown with bars, so every time you bump up the intensity, another bar is show.Thee modes are basically just foot, calf, or both simultaneously and multiple presses of the mode button cycles through the modes while showing you the graphic in the tiny screen of what you selected. Very simple once you try it.Comparing different makes of these, it appears they shut off after about 15-20 min. to keep the units from overheating. I wish the cycles lasted longer, as I can sit for an hour or more at one time and would like the massage to last at least an hour, if I choose.The controllers on these can be noisy, if you wanted to fall asleep with this on, but laying a big, heavy pillow over it solved that for me. This one isn’t terribly noisy, but it does made a constant low tone buzzing while it’s working.My only real complaint on this one is that I’d have like the calf length to be another inch higher, as this stops about an inch short of covering the top of my calf. It may still be working just fine as it is, so it’s a very miner complaint.The control unit comes just about to my hip (I’m almost 6′) and it would have been better made if the cables were longer since if I’m laying flat, there is no way I can bring the controller to near face level if I needed to to clearly see the controller screen. Luckily my vision is fine, and I’m sitting mostly where the controller is closer, but longer cables would have served to remedy this flaw for those who need things close to their face to see small images.

I did knock a star off for receiving a dirty/used one, but I decided to keep this as I didn’t feel like the hassle of returning. The item was clearly used (probably a quick return by an oblivious customer), as it had some white dog hair and debris on it and in the Velcro. I cleaned it off and tried it out. This isn’t a device that makes you feel like you’re getting a relaxing massage, but I do feel it works. I’ve been using it daily for a few days. 1.). There is a 20 min hard shut off, so it won’t work overnight if that’s what you’d hoped for (I did). It would be fairly uncomfortable anyway with the hose/control design. 2.). It is painful above the 1st setting, though that may just require getting used to it. I’m using at the time of day when my feet and ankles are most tired and swollen. I tried it after sleeping (legs up for the night) and it was more comfortable. 3.). I’m seeing less swelling and feeling less a aching after a few days of use. If this quits, I won’t repurchase, I’d look for something that could be set to intermittent for several hours, but this seems to be doing an ok job. 4) once you get the feet sized, just leave the Velcro set and slide your feet in like a boot, then close the calf flaps and it goes on and off quickly and easily.
