Great value and delicious
I once tasted a delicious protein bar made (or sponsored) by Mark Wahlberg branded “Performance Inspired.” It literally tasted like a brownie treat. I have never been able to find another like that, since most protein bars taste like medicine or peanut brittle or wax or just nasty. I decided to try these just for the heck of it, and was pleasantly surprised. They are on the smaller side, but taste similar to what I experienced with the Marky Mark bar. It is a bit creamy and tastes like a cross between a brownie and a milky way in texture. It says gluten free (who knows if that is true), but at 21grams of protein, it has been a great protein boost and snack for after a workout or im between meals.

Update10/7/25: How does the price change to 11.99 the last couple of months then 15.99 the last few days, and during the big prime sell instead of going down it went up to 16.94. I was trying to get my chocolate bars like I do every month.8/6/25: I didn’t like the lemon cake bars; they taste chalky to me, unfortunately. I tried to eat them on two different occasions, and I couldn’t get past the first bite. I would suggest buying the smallest box first because I love this brand, and the bars are usually really good. I assumed that the lemon bars would be really good as well, so I bought 2 boxes of the 12-pack. I’m stuck with 22 bars.7/15/25: Trying the lemon cake, but I also bought chocolate. I would suggest using the boxes to ship, as all of the boxes arrived open again because they were in a thin plastic envelope.My only issue is that I ordered it on June 7, and they are not arriving until July 20th. I was told after I paid for it. I have 6 bars left, so what am I supposed to do until July 20th? very disappointed, but I need my bars as part of my gastric sleeve nutrition at the 9-month mark. good source of protein, but it’s only 12 for $16.99 and I’m used to getting a 23 mixed box for about $21 with a coupon. I have to order them because they are part of my protein. They are a little dry, but most of the protein bars that are low in fat and sugar that I tried are the same texture. Taste is pretty decent, and they are not hard.

Great protein content and actually tastes good
These Pure Protein bars have become a staple in my routine. The protein content is solid, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a protein bar. What really sets them apart though is the taste – unlike many protein bars that can be chalky or have an artificial aftertaste, these actually taste good and have a nice texture. They’re convenient for post-workout snacks or when I need something quick between meals. The nutritional profile is on point, and they keep me satisfied. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a reliable protein bar that doesn’t sacrifice flavor.

This is now the fourth flavors I’ve tried of the Pure Protein bars. I like these for post-workout for protein, and just to help hit my daily protein goals – combined with having a lil “treat”. I was ahead of buying this specific flavor, apprehensive, due to the reviews. So far, I wouldn’t say this is my least favorite but it is towards the bottom. The taste is definitely good – churro? I don’t know about that maybe more protein vanilla caramel flavor. My problem with this one, and the reason I will probably opt out of this flavor moving forward is A.) Reviews were not being nit-picky – this bar is HARD. It’s significantly harder to chew, I feel like my jaw is going to literally fall off and if I have other flavors on hand I will avoid this one and pick another flavor just to not have to deal with how hard it is to chew. B.) The packaging on these bars sucks, the company needs to do better. There is a caramel crumble topping and there is no way to not pull half of it off opening the bar because it’s all adhered to the packaging. I think the company needs to rethink this flavor because I do think it could be enjoyable having multiple of their others but – this is not it. I will be finishing this pack, but not repurchasing.

Not bad tasting & much more reasonable than some of the more popular brands. It’s hard to eat any of them every day, but these were pretty good.

Delicious protein bars, but watch the carbs and sucralose
As with many fitness products of late, the Pure Protein Bars are offering a lot of protein in a dense form, and these are very tasty, like eating a small Snickers bar, really. That said though, we are talking 180 calories in one snack which, for me, is a sizeable dent in my daily calorie budget, plus there’s not much doubt the chocolate adds to the carbohydrates. They’re also sweetened with sucralose, an artificial sweetener, and I’ll be honest, I can only handle in small quantities without suffering GI issues. Maybe one of these a week, but I also need to watch out for other sucralose sources, such as in my protein shakes.There’s no question though that these bars taste great and I wish I could have them more often. I’d also add that one might want to be careful ordering these during hot seasons, because they probably can melt. I haven’t encountered that problem though, and in truth, I keep the box in the refrigerator, just in case.

Really like these, haven’t tried other flavours except choc one, and it really resembles a chocolate in a protein snack formula with it being delicious yet supposedly healthy and nutritious. Placing it in a fridge makes it a game changer, as it becomes more satisfying, more solid, less sticky/chewy and the flavour becomes a bit different as well!
