Practical, complete and easy to use from day one
I decided to try the Riroga glucose kit because I needed something easy to use at home, without complications. I honestly wondered how complete it was: it comes with the glucometer, 100 strips, lancets, the lancing device, and even a very practical case to carry everything together.What I liked most is that it doesn’t require coding, and in less than 5 seconds you have the result. I found it to be quite accurate compared to the values I got in the lab. I also loved that the meter saves the results, so I can keep track without writing them down by hand.

Not accurate, No customer service
I opened the box and began using it for the first time. While I am not diabetic, I am using the monitor to observe how different foods affect my blood sugar.Here are the details of my experience:1. At 8:00 a.m., in a fasted state (no food or drink), I tested my blood sugar and received a reading of 57.2. I then had a cup of black tea with 1 tsp of coconut oil.3. At 9:15 a.m., I attempted to test again.o The first test showed the blood on the strip, but the monitor continued flashing the blood drop symbol and would not register a reading.o The second strip did the same.o The third strip finally gave a reading of 32.o Concerned by the sharp drop in one hour, I immediately tested again using a fresh strip and got a reading of 23.This suggests a drop of 34 points in just over an hour—after only having tea with coconut oil—which is highly unlikely. These numbers appear to be dangerously low and inconsistent, and the monitor failed to function properly on multiple occasions.The sticker on the box says Do not return to Amazon, reach out to them instead. So, I went to Riroga’s website, wrote up a request, and NEVER heard from them. This was 4 weeks ago. Save you money! Update: I tried again. First poke 114. Three mins later, 103 opposite hand. Thirty mins later, 65. This is trash.

Easy to Use and Perfect for Elderly
My pregnant wife was recently told by her doctor that she needed to monitor her blood sugar. That same day we went onto Amazon to find a better quality monitoring system than was available at our local big box stores. We managed to find the Riroga on sale and it did turn out to be higher quality than what we could find for the same price in-store. And Amazon delivered it the next day!The included 100 lancets and 100 test strips are more than enough for her to use while pregnant. She likes how easy the unit is to use- literally just insert a strip and get a reading instantly. She also likes the large eject button on the side, the large display numbers, and that the monitor uses AAA batteries. The carry case seems more durable than many I’ve seen being sold in stores. The safety seal at the top of the box is a great way to see that we received a new, sterile, unused unit.It seems to me that the design of this monitor is perfect for the elderly with poor eyesight. The quick setup instructions and troubleshooting guide are both easy to understand and large print. I may give this unit to my grandma when we’re done with it.

I was confused at first about how to take the blood sample; could not get a reading. After I figured it out, this unit turned out to be easy to use. The instructions are the only downside to the product. I had never used a glucose monitor before so this was all new. Wasted several test strips until I figured it out.
