This is the review you want to read.
If you’re skeptical about the price, knowing of all the garbage that’s out there, you’re just like me. I took a chance on this one, and I’m pleasantly surprised. There are some considerations that if taken can make your experience that much better.First, let’s start with the question “Should I buy this?” The answer is yes. If you have free weights already, and you’re looking for a machine that can do a ton of different cable isolation exercises(and a few compounds), then this is it. I wasn’t about to spend a couple grand on something for the brand name and a duplicate set of raw pounds that can only be utilized by this machine. This allows you to save money and repurpose the weights you have for the exercise that this machine allows.Secondly, the directions freaking suck. Imagine this being a Lego set from your days of youth. Well, in this case, it’s all 150 steps condensed into four separate pictures. Yeah. It sucks. But I’m here to help:1. Take all the crap out and sort it. I know, you’re not one of those people, you just wanna wing it, right? So do I. Not this time. Separate all the pieces, and create an area around you with everything and sit down and try to get comfortable.2. Look everything over in the picture before you bolt stuff. There are a few pieces that connect in multiple areas, and if you do them out of order(there is no order in the instructions), you will need to UNDO them and go in a different order.3. Don’t just randomly pick bolts. I’m sure you weren’t gonna do this, right? Sure. The one thing the instructions does well is have a very specific number label for each bolt. Make sure you are using the right numbered bolt for each piece. The bags of each bolt are numbered; keep them in the bag and pull them out as needed. If you open everything into a pile, you are screwed! No pun intended.4. *** VERY IMPORTANT *** This will save you endless amounts of time. If you are going to order this, and you don’t have these tools, ORDER THESE TOOLS AS WELL. You need a socket set in addition to a cordless drill with socket attachments. There is a universal socket that attaches to a drill that is filled with pins that an conform to a variety of socket sizes. Might be your best bet. The reason you need both is because you need to hold one side in place while tightening the other, otherwise as soon as you turn, the bolt will just spin. You hold the bolt in place with the socket wrench on one side, and zippity zip with the drill on the other side, and you make very quick work with the bolts. Using two socket wrenches will work, but oh man will this take a long time.I hope this helps someone! This machine is incredibly sturdy, and in combination with this, some dumbbells, and a barbell weight set and bench, you got yourself pretty much anything you’ll need to get swole.

    Excellent value
I’ve only had this for about a week but so far, I love it. Assembly wasn’t bad. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. The instructions aren’t great but not terrible either. If you’ve ever seen a lat pull down machine, you’ll get the gist of it.I needed this particular machine due to the height. I have a basement gym with a low ceiling and this fit perfect. As for the actual use. For the value, it’s excellent. No, it is not commercial gym quality because it is lighter and not as sturdy. But it is smooth and stable enough to get good reps. I’m 5’9” and can get a full stretch on the raise no problem. If taller, just lower the seat and it should work great.I bought some tricep pull down equipment (rope, v bar, etc) and have been using the machine for triceps. I also use the ropes behind my neck and knees on the ground for weighted crunches. The machine has a lower row bar too for back and bicep curls. So, I’m getting exercises for back, triceps, Bicep curls, and abs.Drawbacks: It’s not heavy. So, when doing bicep curls or rows, the machine has the potential to tip up or pull to you. This is remedied by standing on the included/attached foot plate. Not a big deal, just be aware of it. When you’re doing pulldowns, it’s not an issue.I also bought additional weight plates that I just keep on there instead of constantly having to rotate the plates among my equipment. I just found it to be easier this way.All in all, I’m thrilled with this machine for the value and ability to use it for multiple exercises.

works well for a home gym
Plenty of options to get your upper and lower back and triceps. I am 6 ft. tall and 220 lbs. and able to get full range of motion. These aren’t as heavy duty as what you will find in a gym, but they get the job done. Putting it together took me about 4 hours. Instructions are clear enough and everything is well labeled. The wires and pulleys seem up to the task and are quiet. I am satisfied with the product.

    Good garage gym addition
Worth the money. The material is solid. Easy to put together. All three attachments work seamlessly. Seems to hold heavy weight with ease. Good for a garage gym like mine.

    Pleasant Surprise
This unit took about three hours to assemble. Several pictures showed stages of construction that made it easy to figure out how to connect the parts. Additionally, everything was packaged well and easy to identify. The fact that I had ratchet wrenches made the assembly very easy. Without them, there would have been a lot of tedious wrench turning. The assembled machine is relatively light and easy to move around. However, even though it is light, it is very stable and there is absolutely no wobble. The stability of the device is excellent. I read one review that said the user used sandbags or some other kind of weight to hold it down. My unit does not need any extra support help.In terms of use, I am 5’10”and weigh about 150. I have the seat lowered all the way down and I have more than enough arm extension for the pulldowns. I even have to get off the seat a few inches to reach the bar. I have also found that I am more comfortable doing seated pulldowns with my back against the vertical stand so that I face outwards. There is plenty of clearance between the cable and my face. Additionally, can do standing biceps curls facing the vertical stand without having to remove the seat.Overall, this machine exceeded my expectations ,and I recommend it enthusiastically for anyone in the market for an inexpensive training device of high quality. My only word of caution is to be prepared to buy the wight plates for your level of training. The weight bar accepts standard plates and includes an adapter for Olympic weights, which I chose to use.
