    worked great!
Edit:After writing a scathing review on the Withings website, someone reached out to me, and told me they would replace my scale. The new one arrived in 2 days, and I updated both my Withings review, and this one, as I promised I would. The scale quit working after 10 months. There is zero customer support available. The phone number listed has been disconnected. It took 3 days to get an answer on the “Chat”. It was determined there is a fatal error, and it needs to be replaced. Withings informed me Amazon would replace the scale. They will not. It is past its 30 day return date, but within the 2 year warranty Withings offers. So now I have a scale that is stuck in a loop trying to restart every 30 seconds. It’s been doing this for 3 days and nights. I am not happy, this was not a cheap scale. DO NOT BUY IT.

    Lots of missed potential
This scale could be an amazing (though unnecessary) investment in your health if it worked consistently, or had other quality of life improvements to justify the price.I have had the scale for almost a month at this point and have more bad than good to say about it.For starters, the battery life is quite pathetic for being $400 and being used at most once a day for roughly 10 minutes total over the course of a week. The companion app has the connectivity to notify you of a low battery, but doesn’t, or at least does not do so consistently. If you plan to put this scale in your bathroom I hope you have an outlet nearby or you’ll be carting this thing to another room to charge it every couple days. Did I mention you cannot use the $400 scale while it’s plugged in?Next is measurements. Measurements frequently fail or come back inconclusive even when following all guidelines (butt naked, stand still, stand evenly, hold ECG bar without moving hands, etc.). After a month of use I think I have only had two days where I did not have at least one test fail or come back as “Inconclusive” during a session.Hardware. The scale itself is sturdy (surprisingly heavy given the lack of a battery) and the ECG bar is a neat feature. My complaint here is with the included wall mount that is far too weak for the winch inside the scale causing the wall mount to be pulled off the wall over time.Ease of setup. The scale is relatively easy to set up (though it takes a while) thanks to the intuitive instructions given through the app. No complaints here.Overall I think the scale is a great idea, it just needs loads of improvements. I love the data it claims to gather but struggle to accept its validity due to how often measurements fail for no discernible reason. If you are getting this to lose weight, get something cheaper if you want app connectivity. If you are an athlete that wants to track body comp and fitness progress, find another product or wait until another version of this comes out.

    Worth the money.
This is going to be long. I bought this scale for part of my 65 pound weight loss journey. I found that the ECG reported “inconclusive” like 90% of the times. It also showed my heart rate consistently 100-140. I was certain the scale was defective, because my pulse oximeters all reported my heart rate in the 60’s and 70’s just before using the scale.I was wrong. The scale was/is accurate. Digging deeper, I found that the FDA has authorized ECG algorithms only for pulse rates below 100. Higher (tachycardia), the waveforms are to close together to be analyzed correctly. Trying to document to Withings tech support what I thought was an error by the scale reading my heart rate, I discovered that when I stood up, my heart rate rapidly jumps to over 100. You have to stand up to use a scale. The times I successfully got an ECG result were all the times my pulse was lower than 100.The Withings Body Scan scale helped me identify that I might have POTS. And my high pulse was the problem – NOT a defect in the scale. My Kardia Mobile 6L always provided a 6-lead EKG result, but I was sitting on my bed. It would never have uncovered this issue.Ling in Colorado, it is usually very low humidity. Occasionally, I would get a Body Composition error. If I moisten my feet, or apply a light lotion, then it reads without any errors.

Product is good, However, it’s delivered by Amazon us and set up for ECG is problematic as it’s for US locations only (still not able to use it even though I bought the scale for this particular feature).
