I bought these poles because of reviews I read about the locking mechanism failing on no name brands. I”m not disappointed. They’re perfect in every way. Well constructed, lightweight, and durable. The wrist loops are the right size and very easy to slide into and out of. I carry one (non-extended) while running as coyotes and bobcats are common here and I want something to be able to keep them at a distance if it comes to that. I barely even notice that I’m carrying it. I’m really happy with the quality of this product and highly recommend these poles.

Don’t hike without ‘em
Would never hike without them. Sturdy too. I’m 6’2” 230lbs and they never buckled. I’d suggest them to anyone.

Great poles
I always thought hiking poles were silly. I bought these and my knees love me for it. They do slide occasionally when you put a bit of weight on them, meaning they collapse a bit.

Definitely got my moneys worth.
Used these on a 4 day hunt in Kodiak Alaska, I used the heavily hiking up and down mountains with a heavy pack on my back. They held up, I couldn’t ask for much more out of performance especially for the price. On the evening of the last day I had 1 pole start slowly retracting. That’s the only reason I didn’t put 5 stars. I’m sure I just need to tighten the screw.

This was my first time using trekking poles, and they arrived just before my planned 40km 2-day hike in the desert. So they went straight to the test and performed amazingly. The weight is great, they never felt heavy not even after 20km in. The grip is very good although my hands were sweating a bit, the straps chafed my wrists a little but that’s not a big issue. Locking and adjustability are quick and sturdy. They went through deep sand, dry crusty sand and sandy rocks, granite and rocks, up and down very steep sand dunes and helped my balance on very pebbly terrain after my toes started hurting a lot at around 25km (but that’s because of tight shoes). They did close shorten a bit sometimes at the beginning but that’s when I put my full weight plus my backpack on them while going up a dune. But when I got the hang of them, they never failed after those few times. The carbide tips are extremely durable, as well as the aluminum shafts. They didn’t bend even when they got stuck sometimes between rocks.
