Cleared My 10′ x 12′ Office of Very Musty Air
Works great. Quiet. Easy set up and operation. Got it for a 10′ x 12′ office with very musty boxes. Cleared the air of that smell and nastiness. Breathing easy now.

Difficult to understand use, no clear on and off
I like the effectiveness of this air purifier so as far as performance goes, I think it should have five stars. Since there’s no way of testing air quality and we just have to go on faith, I’m guessing that it’s a good quality machine. However, clearly it was designed with aesthetics in mind and not practicality. It’s difficult to turn on an off or to know how to turn it higher or lower. You do this with a series of taps on the top ring. It’s very Star Trek in a very unnecessary way. I love Star Trek. I love everything about Star Trek. I don’t think even they would’ve kept this on the enterprise because it’s too annoying to use , however, having said that I just turned mine on low and keep it on all the time. I have noticed that environmental allergies bother me much less this year. If you are into the super modern look and have the gray walls that all designers think everyone should have now, you might love this look and usage facility might not bother you. I don’t think an older person would be able to use this easily. The only thing that lets you know if it’s on or off is a light that shines for a moment when you tap it. There is delay in the action so you don’t know if you’ve actually turned it up higher or turned it off for a few seconds, so if you’re impatient like me and tap it again, you’ll probably accidentally turn it off and have to start all over again . Again, weird design, leaving you confused. Is very silent and that’s a big plus. It probably deserves one more star, but I’m too annoyed with the lack of the on and off clarity to increase my stars. Here’s an idea, how about somebody make a vintage looking air purifier with simple on off switches, make it look like a vintage radio. I bet that would be a big seller, the nice old-fashioned knobs. On and off.I have no idea how I’m going to change the filter when it’s time to change it, the whole thing is a mystery as to how it’s assembled, and I wish they would just include a few extra filters with the purchase so then you weren’t trying to figure out what kind of machine you have and which kind of filters to buy six months later. I’d be willing to pay extra to have the extra filters delivered with the purchase. If I sound annoyed it’s because I am. But I’m sure the machine is good quality.Updated review 9/11/24: The machine is actually silent on low. It’s been on all day and I didn’t even know it. You literally cannot hear it at all on its lowest setting. It also did a great job getting rid of a smell that was from something burned in my kitchen. So it is a very effective machine. I also now am wondering if the thing that I found fault with is actually a benefit to older people with arthritis if they cannot turn a knob, then just tapping the top might be very helpful to them. In fact, anyone with mobility issues could put this beside their bed and just tap it at night in the dark and it would be easy to use for them. Because it is silent, it will not work for you as a white noise machine. I’m now going to add a star. Xo

So quiet you’ll forget it’s on!
This air filter is awesome, it’s so quiet we forget that it’s even on. It works very well for the size and overall is not an eyesore in the room.

Doesn’t last, inconvenient cleaning.
Bought several of these. One died less than 6 months in, another got a loud squeaky noise in the motor.CADR is low, and the hepasilent technology is just a fancy term for the fact that it has an ionizer, which technically produces ozone.Also, the washable pre-filters are a huge pain. They are tightly wrapped around the hepa filter with elastic, meaning you have to get really handsy and touch your hepa filter a bunch when trying to pull it off and squeeze it back on like a woman putting on spandex pants that are two sizes too small. Not sanitary and also causes you to sometimes damage the hepa filter.

…..when you walk through the air cleaner isles of the major supply stores….out jumps the same old same old Brands…..you may have tried many of them as I have…..Blue Air made in Sweden has helped me breathe well in times of smoke from forest fires….dusty winds entering through windows….normal household living…inadequate air cleaning done by your furnace etc……..I have 3 different models….small room…..medium square footage to large square footage….when you remove the outer fabric…and wash the pre-filter as instructed….change your inner filter as indicated by the units warning light….get ready for having these units around for a long time……quite is the big sell….don’t go with a small unit if you want your bedroom to have the ultimate good air….big mistake as a small unit on low just doesn’t make sense….medium sized or larger on low is silent but it moves more air……….the big sell is the units fan head on top the unit….years of use on my units….clean as a whistle to date…why…nothing gets through…other named Brand units get filthy after 6 months….BLUE AIR simply the best….Tina Turner

I am hoping that I do not have to use this for at least 6 months. So it arrived on time. yesterday, package was new and it arrived before I got the air purifier itself which just arrived this afternoon. Being that it is the manufacturer product, I would assume it will fit no problem and it really all depends on how well the air purifier I just received works. If the air purifier does not seem to be doing its job then I obviously will be returning both packages together. If need be will update in a week or so. I simply ordered this to have on hand when the need to replace the filter arises.
