Racks and powers stuff!

Use on back rack rails
I freed up a space in my rack by removing a power unit from the front rails and using this power strip on the rear rails. The power switch can be found and operated by feel while standing in front of the rack (reaching over the top or around the side). I don’t trust it for power surges though, so I plug it into an external isobar.

Well built, only problem is no indicator for the surge protector
The power strip is very well built. The internal construction uses heavy gauge solid wires. The things about it that I didn’t like so much were:1) the rear exit of the power cord: for me, side exit would have been better.2) the surge protector does not have any indicator to tell you whether it is still working or has been blown.Apart from that, it is well built.

Basic PDU
I have a few of these in my rack and they are a very solid, basic PDU. I don’t have a ton of load on them, but one has around 700 watts on it at all times and it doesn’t seem to flinch. Mounted in a 19″ rack without any issue, and the cord was enough to reach to the bottom of the rack from about eye level.

Looks good
Great quality surge
Brett Bielecki –
This is wonderful. Unlike other rack mount PDUs, this one is assembled in a modular fashion which makes it great for modding or other electronics projects. Very easy to disassemble and rearrange the layout. Can even 3D print custom front panel flanges. I’ve modified this one a bit to make it more suitable for the AV industry and it works great! Power switch hole is nearly the exact size of a Neutrik D Type connector. To the manufacturers: Don’t stop making it like this! It’s great!
Patrick McKeegan –
I wouldn’t use this in a super demanding environment where it gets beat up a lot but it’s great for my purposes. I’ve had it for about a year and the quality has been solid.I’m uncertain of the quality of the surge protection if that’s a concern.
Kevin Ryan Perez –
Really good item for a cheap price
Steve W –
Way overpriced for cheap quality. Don’t waste your money on this!
