EXCELLENT MATERIAL: The engineer tape measure is made of high quality thickened carbon steel and wrapped with nylon coated for maximum durability. It’s stiff enough to feed out 7 ft easily without bending. The shell is made of ABS high hardness plastic and TPR elastic rubber, which is wear-resistant and drop-proof.

Great Tajima replacement
I recently lost my little Tajima tape measure which costed me 34 dollars. Fortunately, I stumbled upon this tape measure. At first I was skeptical because there were barely nonsponsored reviews of it and it’s a Chinese company. But I had one of their scissors which was good so I decided why not; especially because it was cheap too.This is a very small tape measure, has a wrist strap, has two circle magnets on the hook which is exactly what the Tajima had. This is ideal because it’s easier to clean little metal bits that get stuck out and it has magnets on the back of the hook to give it a stronger hook. It was also smooth, accurate, the lock was easy to move around, and the retractibility was very good; not too weak, not too strong.Durability wise, I haven’t had it for that long but it’s holding up well. Just be gentle when retracting so that you don’t hit something with your hook, causing bendsOverall, it functions exactly like my Tajima at the third of the price and I will keep buying this if I lose it again. WOOHOO

Move over DeWalt
Wow! That was my first impression when I opened the box to examine. I wanted a sturdy, easy to read tape measure for my Granddaughters first apartment and her “starter” tool box. I found it necessary to hunt down quality, durability, and a sort of “no math calculations” tape measure that wouldn’t break my wallet on a fixed income and allowed for more Christmas gift purchases. I was not expecting this unit to be comparable to a DeWalt or Stanley heavy duty, but it was! In fact it seemed even better. Has a lot of nice features. Very easy to read tape with markings and fractions on BOTH sides! Magnet tip, and has a belt clip attachment. The tape itself is heavy duty and it extends out to 7 ft before bending with a sliding lock mechanism to keep it in place. It’s coated to prevent rusting. It’s housing is very durable and sturdy not to mention has some weight to it. I actually like this better than my DeWalt and now thinking I might just replace it with this one. VERY pleased with this company and purchase.

A Good Tape Measure. Better Without the Lanyard.
It’s a nice, easy to read tape, that does what a measuring tape is designed to do. The button allows you to easily slow the in-take of the tape as well as to lock the tape in place once it’s out the required length. I do have questions about the lanyard that comes on it. I found it to be in the way and annoying, so I cut it off. It’s not a camera. Besides, the tape has a belt hook. Wait, I just had a light bulb, why not put belt hooks on cameras? It would be nice if the lanyard was of the type that was removable without having to cut it, then it might be repurposed.

Very durable with lots of good qualities..
I’ve been in the construction field and using tape measures for 30 years now and I love this little tape measure. Most small tape measures are weak and cheap and not that long. It is very well made, very durable. When you get out of a lift and go to do something and forget to grab your regular tape measure, you’ve always got this one on your hip for back up.

Easy to read, sturdy
This is a great measuring tape. It is so easy to read – on both sides – with 8th fractions noted. Magnetic on the end is helpful and works well as does the lock. Only stays straight to 7′ if you are very careful with it. I would recommend

Only 12′ Double Sided Tape Measure I’ve Been Able To Find
Have had this tape for less than a week. It’s an EDC item replacing a 12′ Stanley that doesn’t get daily use but is always ready if needed. Markings on both sides of tape are clear and precise. Magnets in clip at end of tape are adequately strong.This tape was purchased for the double sided markings and small size. So far, so good. My only complaint thus far (very minor) is that the stupid tail strap required me to either cut it off or open the case to remove it. I did the latter and managed not to release the spring dragon. So, all good. Build quality is adequate; not bad so I can criticize it, not stellar so I can remark how good it is. We’ll see how it fairs after a few drops.My suspicion is that the tape itself may not wear well. Time will tell on this point. But, for the present, 5 stars.
