Black and White –
Not as pictured
Not as pictured. It’s a black bar with chrome ends. The bar is at least 28mm thick and ends spin nicely. Knurling is nice as well. Packaging was in bad shape but barbell was fine. As nice as my expensive barbells. Very happy with this purchase.

Size matters
Great looking bar bought the wrong size but had family problems for awhile so I missed the exchange window but I guess that’s my fault. Looks great but I guess ill try to sell it so I can get another one that fits my home gym.

It’s a bar
Order black bar, got chrome. One of the end sealer stickers missing. Other than that, it’s a 6ft lifting bar..

Beautiful barbell
This barbell is gorgeous in its black. 7 foot and 45 pounds, so it matches what is typically in a gym…except for it’s nice looking in the black. The packaging was awesome! It came well packaged in a cardboard tube….and then that was in another cardboard tube. Absolutely protected and safe in its packaging.

It gets the job done but I should have just spent a little more on a better barbell.
I’ve had and used this barbell for a little over a month. It’s a decent barbell for the price but I would highly suggest you just spend a little more on a better barbell. First off, the knurling could be better. It’s not precise in its placement or deep enough to really get a good grip so I have to use gloves so that I get a better grip. Next is the overall manufacturing of the bar. The sleeves hardly spun so I had to disassemble and remove the burrs inside the sleeve and sand down the shaft and lubricate them both for it to have a better spin. Not amazing spin but better than before. They also don’t have bearings or bushings so this also affects the lack of spin. I looked into buying 3rd party bushings but the bar diameter and the opening diameter of the sleeve are not standard sizes so there was no option for replacement bushings. So, it’s just an ok bar if you’re on a budget, it gets the job done but I will most likely have to upgrade to a better bar in the future.

Great quality, some minor glitches
I bought this barbell bar, as I am building a home gym. I am the type of person that likes to do his due diligence and research extensively before buying. Given the amount of equipment that I had to initially buy to build my home gym, I had to find a balance between price and quality for my barbell bar, as I had no desire to pay for an arm and a leg for a bar, and after much research, this bar was it.This bar punches well above its weight when it comes to quality. The weight rating for this bar is 500 pounds, and it seems to hold pretty well. I am strong, but I’ve still got 100 lbs of buffer from my max deadlift. This bar will serve the needs of over 99% of people who work out, easily. The bar is a pretty standard 7 feet, which I was expecting it to be. It feels no different than a regular barbell bar on commercial gyms. The barbell bar has been solid for me so far, and has taken all the weight and abuse through which I have put it. I have had no issues with rotating it into different positions or anything like that, and fits comfortably in my hands and neck/upper back when squatting.I have noticed that Olympic plates can sometimes struggle to be inserted into the sides of the bar, as of the bar was just a bit too thick, but that has been a minor issue for me so far, and does not take away from the quality of it.One somewhat more serious concern with this bar is that it came with some steel flakes that could have easily sliced my hands had I not found them before I got cut. I highly recommend that of you do buy this barbell bar, to inspect it very closely before using it, just in case you run into the same issueOverall, this bar is still a solid bar, offers great quality, and will not break the bank.

Olympic Bar weight was 43lbs

The shipping packaging was a bit haphazard, not just a single heavy cardboard tube, but several sections heavily taped together. The bar is acceptable quality for my use – for “landmine” exercises, with weights at one end and a large rubber ball at the other that has contact with the floor. The knurling feels good. It’s not too deep, which I know many do not like. The chrome plating looks good, with no cracking/peeling. (I’d prefer an entirely black bar, but this one in chrome makes it easily identifiable for its use. This is a 7′ Olympic bar that weighs 45 lbs.I saw some complaints about the ridges along the plate mounts, but that is a feature. They keep the weight plates from sliding off if you haven’t put your collars on, yet. Also, if you use the metal pinch collars, they will aid in holding things in place. They CAN slow down plate loading a bit, but I don’t consider it onerous, even on my Rogue bar.My only real complaint is that the bearing mechanisms in the plate mounts is not very smooth. This is likely due to using cheaper type bearings. But for my use, not an issue. If you will be lifting heavy (i.e. for squats and deadlifts), it could be an issue.EDIT: After using a short while, I noticed that the bearings squeal loudly with use, as the weights rotate, even with . Poor quality/design bearings and/or not lubricated properly.
