works well for both wrist flexion and extension.

A simple and good tool to have for most exercise portfolios
The equipment operates as described. The grip size is appropriate for users with medium to smaller hands. The tensioning device is appropriate for smaller to medium sized users, though individuals with either larger hands or builds may find the highest setting insufficient. Documentation is minimal and directs you to an online video, which is too long and contains too little information with two few exercises. That said, this simple tool is well worth the price and a good addition to any home exercise portfolio.

Variety of Movement Results in Better Health
Look at everything that you do for your forearm and your grip and ask yourself how much of it involves any motion that does not involve closing the hand against resistance, how much involves producing torque around the wrist in the manner that you would use a screwdriver. I feel comfortable saying that the answer to both questions is, almost certainly, just as it is with finger extension, very little. On the other hand, the traditional ways of doing twisting motions around the wrist, wringing towels over and over can be problematic even for the toughest hands. Using a wrist roller is limited by the height one can hold it at and the time that one can hold it at that height. This is counterproductive because it is demanding endurance from the bicep and the shoulders to grow the forearms while energy is used just holding the bar. With the GD Twist Grip, none of these problems matter. The device is light and easy to use and has plenty of resistance. This might seem odd because everyone is expecting a massive amount of weight to be necessary for wrist and forearm development when, in fact, the traditional method of wringing a towel has been shown to be effective again and again. The GD Twist Grip does the towel one better because you can do it anywhere without the need of a pool or a bucket or a bathtub and it will not tear up your hands in the way that constantly abrading your wet hands on a towel would. Moreover, with the GD Twist Grip, one can work directly on producing torque around the wrist which is not really possible with a towel and certainly, not with any gripper. My experience with the GD Twist Grip is reflected in my forearms and, to some degree, the slowness with which I am typing, my forearms are sore. This is not some cheap toy for someone to amuse children with their “strength”, this is a serious tool that looks simple and inexpensive whilst actually being built with quality materials. The biggest problem I have is the limitations on the resistance at both ends. At one end, the lightest resistance cannot be made any lighter or, as the manual warns us, the thing could come apart. At the highest level of resistance, there is more space on the screw and one has to wonder why the device cannot be made to provide greater resistance. Otherwise, your forearms will get a very different workout with the GD Twist Grip than they’ve ever had before.

Good pump, good burn
This is a good addition to a forearm-building arsenal, where variety is key because the muscles are super-stubborn and the exercises become a bit tedious. This GD Twist Grip allows you to attack the forearms, wrists (and even hands and fingers) all at once, hitting both lower arms simultaneously. You can adjust it across six levels. Now, you should keep in mind that this is marketed to women by GD, so if you’re ripping phone books in half in your spare time, you might not get the greatest workout from it. You may even snap it in two. It is all-plastic construction. That said, it is well made, feels good in the hands (nice grip, no pain at all), and is easy to adjust the resistance on and use.As for the resistance, I can get a good burn at high reps (20+) at the lowest setting and a good pump (12–15 reps) at the highest setting. For reference, I’m no phone-book tearer, and I am in my fifties, but I can close a CoC #1 for 5 or 6 reps on a good day.For me, the best part was that my wife was instantly interested in this thing and has already used it. She is very set in her ways when it comes to fitness (whereas I love to try any- and everything I can get my hands on). So that is a win. It makes sense based on the marketing, but sometimes that kind of thing actually helps dissuade my wife. Don’t let any of it dissuade you, except perhaps the price. This kind of exercise can be improvised with all sorts of household goods (a wet towel, for example) but nothing will match the elegance, precision, and feel of this simple little device. It is small and light enough to be easily portable in a backpack or duffel bag too.

Multi-use arm exercise tool
I’ve been experiencing some discomfort in my right forearm, and this bar has helped me strengthen my arms, elbows and wrists. It can be used for a variety of exercises, though it looks like the listing includes a video of only one of them. It’s easy to find more instructions for exercises and stretches elsewhere on the Internet. The bar feels substantial but not heavy, and it’s easy to adjust the resistance for comfortable use.

resistance bar
I have been struggling with some severe arm/elbow pain for several months (of course I didn’t go to the doctor). I have been using this some and it seems to be helping – Make sure you check out the video on the listing that shows you how to use this properly. This is a great tool to help to help strengthen your wrist, hands and arms as we age.
