I purchased these filters for my GE Monogram refrigerator, and they’ve been excellent. seems to work well. Fairly easy to install. I’ve installed it about 5 times now and it is very easy. The first few times were a little tricky though. User error maybe.

OK. Incomplete instructions.
So this is a good water filter, but the instructions do not fully tell you what to do and therefore you will have the most difficult time trying to insert this filter into the gray port that you need to use. I had to watch a few different YouTube videos to try to figure out why it seemed so easy for other people, but it just was not going in for me. I hate every time I have to change this filter because it’s such a struggle. So what they don’t tell you is when you remove the filter, you need to swing it out to the right as far as it can go so the whole entire gray port goes to the right then you pull the filter out and then you can easily insert the new one with the front facing outward. If for some reason you managed to pull the filter out before pulling it all the way to the right you will not be able to insert the new one no matter how hard you try. This is why I hate this thing but they should have said something on the box or in the instructions. I think it’s best to warn people and tell them why you were having such troubles. They probably don’t put it because they want you to break it and have to buy another one of these expensive filters so if for some reason you pull it out before rotating all the way to the right you need to use something to insert it in the hole and pull that gray toggle all the way to the right is only then you can insert the filter. Once you insert the new filter, you swing it back to the left and close the door. I hope this helps someone because I just spent 45 minutes trying to put this filter into my refrigerator. Good luck!

Turns city water to spring water
Just moved to a town in NE PA that has horrible tap water. You can smell the chlorine after showering. Though I would have to invest in bottled water forever. Discovered my GE refrigerator had a sophisticated filter built in that needed replacing. Got this filter which was an exact match. Installation was tricky. Pro tip, make sure the filter receiver is swung all the way out.Bottom line, my GE water dispenser is now providing me excellent quality water that is on par with most bottled water. Even my cats can’t tell the difference. While I’m supposed to replaced it every 6 months, I feel it’s well worth it.
