    Compact, bright, and secure mount.
Construction and engineering excellent. Only had the item for a day. First night ride last night. Light was bright and secure/stable. Nice compact size. Rear light was ok and clipped securely to my saddle bag (which has loop for clip on light). Happy with purchase!

    Highest quality
Top notch quality.Very long runtime, I purchased several over brands in the same price range and the fenix has the longest runtime.A very big advantage is that you can buy an extra battery in case you need longer runtime.I love it.

    This is an awesome light
This is an awesome light! It is very bright and I like that while the beam does have a focused center, it is not a spotlight. There is a nice angle of dispersement that give good visibility of the entire road. Usually don’t go up past 3 on intensity. Battery lasts as advertised. Even the clip is high quality. It uses a spring and lever rather than a piece of stress plastic to clip in. The devil is in the details and Fenix gets it right.

Great backup light. By design half or more of light body is behind handlebar
For my Mountain bike, I have my primary light from Outbound lighting and it is large, powerful and sits fully in front of the handlebar with its mount. Have a matching helmet light but wanted a backup bar light just in case. Like that it uses replaceable Li Ion batteries and you can buy a second battery and dedicated charger direct from manufacturer to have even more run time. But pen style lights are long cylinders by design so once mounted a good portion of the light sits behind the handlebar when mounted. Just fear that with a hard crash, could become a painful item to hit with your body when going over the bars.

    Perfect so far
We’ll see how it holds up long term, but I think this is my fourth Fenix light purchase (the others are various varieties of handheld light) and I’ve never been even remotely disappointed before.Installation is about as simple as it gets. Rear light is held on by friction, using a stretchable rubber strap that’s easy to remove when it’s time to charge. The front mount is held on by a thumbscrew tightening the mount around the handlebar and the light itself clips in easily and comes out by pressing down on a lever while pulling. The lights look great, and the IP68 rating means they’ll take whatever dirt or water you throw at them, even as far as full submersion. The various brightness settings for the front light are nice to have, sometimes you might need the light to actually see where you’re going (since I normally ride around town, this is a bit less common for me), and sometimes you need it more as a warning to others that you exist. The lower brightness settings are perfect for this, they make you visible without messing with the natural light too much. The rear is nice and bright, even the low brightness is more than enough most of the time, and like the front, keeping it on low means you have to charge it way less often. For both lights, charging can be done via USB, and the front light can be charged by removing the battery as well and using an existing charger. Unfortunately all of my battery chargers only support up to “standard” 21700 batteries, and as the Fenix takes a 21700 with a protection circuit (which adds a 1/4″ to its overall length), the battery doesn’t fit. So I just use the USB-C instead. That’s also a good note for anyone that chooses to carry a spare battery with them for emergencies (the light comes with a battery case by the way) — when you buy the spare battery, make sure you get the longer 21700 with the protection circuit. Otherwise the battery will rattle around inside and won’t be able to make a good connection.

Handlebar clip broke during first use
This light is bright and functions well. I am giving it a 3/5 because on the first use in an adventure race, the handlebar clip just broke. Had to wrangle some zip ties to make it work. Can’t really use as a bike light if you can’t clip it to your bike. But the light itself is nice.

    Great Light
I love it, but I honestly have only owned 3 bike lights….. it’s awesome for me

    Meh
Was a fan of Fenix lights. This bike light design is surpassed by others. The mount is bulky, and newer twist mounts are easier to use and more compact. The light lens doesn’t have a cutoff on top to reduce glare towards oncoming traffic. Brightness and color temp are are a bit dimmer and to warmer than I’d like. It does have a blinking mode which alternate between low and high, better than off and on. The rear bike light is mediocre and worth no more than$20. Overall an ok package, but very outdated and I wouldn’t buy again.
