Great MIP’s helmet if you’re on a budget
Great helmet for the price. Comfortable and easy to adjust for the perfect fit. I’m a large man with a big head. I find it hard to find bike helmets that fit but this is great. If you’re riding an E-bike that goes 28+ mph, then you need to purchase a MIP’s helmet. There are nicer ones on the market with lights and far better clasps but for the price thus is perfect. I already purchased this in White for my teenage son ad well.If I was to be knit-picky though. I wish the visor came down a little lower to help block the afternoon sun. I find I have to tilt the helmet down low on my forehead before I can even see the visor let alone block the sun. Small gripe and certainly not a deal breaker.

Update: I’m lowering from 5 stars to 3. Because of the fixed Y intersection on the chin straps, the straps are in a position where they press against my throat and feel like they’re strangling me. Positively, the helmet did fit even with a bigger hairstyle. But the strangling thing is just not going to work out for me.OK. Now I see the difference between a good helmet like this one and a cheap one from Walmart. For starters, the thin plastic cage (no idea what it’s actually called) inside the helmet is securely attached rather than easily coming unglued/unvelcroed like helmets from Walmart. Also, the Y-shaped junction on straps is fixed. You’d think adjustable was better, but I rarely had those things adjusted properly. The Y junction on this Giro helmet is fixed at the right place right out of the box. My only complaint is that, when the straps are as tight as they’re supposed to be, they’re too close to my neck and are uncomfortable.I will likely have to send the helmet back, unfortunately, due to my own mistake. I had looked at the helmet before and thought it went up to 65 cm, but when I got it, I discovered it only went to 61 cm. It fits with my current, flatter hairstyle, but may not fit hairstyles with more volume.
