Great rack for a an awesome price!
I really don’t think you can get a better low profile rack for the money. I spent quite a bit of time researching trying to find a rack with cables that wouldn’t stick out any further than the standard depth refrigerator that’s on the same wall of my garage. This fit the bill, and has all of the features I was looking for.I used structural screws to mount 2 – 2×10’s to the studs in my garage wall, then mounted the rack to those 2x10s with lag bolts. It was a really simple install, and only took a couple hours, including a trip to Home Depot.I had the same issue as other reviewers with the front pulleys rubbing, but the seller immediately got back to me when I reached out, and sent me replacement pulleys to fix the issue. I used the cables for a couple months with the pulleys rubbing with no ill effect other than a bit of extra resistance, so even if you have this issue, it won’t be a show stopped while you wait for them to remedy.Overall, I would absolutely recommend picking one of these up. It’s extremely sturdy, light commercial quality. It looks good, and the attachments are high enough quality, that they won’t need upgraded any time soon either.

Space Saving Masterpiece !
This unit fits perfectly in the space in my garage. I opted for the wall mount rack, verses the full step in rack due to its limited depth in the area I wanted to put it. With ha depth of ~ 32″ (With pully attachments installed), the unit is not obtrusive. The wall mount design leaves ample space to still park an average size car in my garage.The quality of the unit is just as you would expect from a commercial gym. This unit is extremely versatile and highly functional, allowing for just about any combination or variance of exercises that would be otherwise completed on multiple machines.The main supports are rectangular, vs square – allowing for a more structurally sound machine.The red painted finish with matching adjustable bench makes it pop, making it an inviting space to work out in. (Something important to keep motivated)The instructions were easy to follow. (If you can put together DIY Furniture, you can put this together in a few hours)I did find it helpful to watch one of their videos online to route the cables for the pully systemI was able to use a coupon they offered, which made the unit even more attractive. IMO – This is a great value for how versatile this unit is.There are other units that do have more holes for fine tuning the pully placement and barbell rests, which would allow a bit more flexibility – but the cost of those unites were significantly more. IMO – This is minor for what you get.There were a few accessory pieces missing; however, Alex from their support was extremely helpful and had the missing accessories shipped right away.Given the space I wanted to place this, the wall studs did not align with with wall anchors. Also because I added a slat wall behind the unit for all the accessories (and TV) – The wall anchors were not long enough. With some Q&A with Alex – I opted to add a header board that secured into the wall studs, which the top of the unit bolted into. (I painted it black with a black border and red inside, so the Megastar logo would match the unit – I think it turned out great!- see the 2nd pic)The bottom mounts use the same wall anchors. I did not want to drill into the foundation in my garage, so I opted to use construction adhesive to mount the footer board. I then used heavy duty coarse thread lag screws to mount the bottom of the unit into the footer board. (See the 3rd pic)I have been using this unit religiously since installing it (beats running to an over-crowded gym, where I can always find the time get a workout in – even if its a quick one)The only drawback (to me) – The weight plates are not slotted, so picking them up can be a little tricky with the plastic coating – when I start sweating – they can be a little slippery)I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing this unit.

UPDATE: Seller sent smaller metal pulleys that fixed the issue!I really like this because of the space saving factor but have seen a couple big negatives I have to try to figure out…1) Top front pulleys rub against the metal2) When I loaded over 100lbs the top front pulley was pulled down so far against the metal it wouldn’t turn at all.

Overall nice weight system, pretty straight for install, did it by myself.Used this for a couple months now and couple issuesDon’t use the anchors that come with this, they get loose over time, better to get into studs or fasten a 2×6 and lag to it.The pulley system is a lil cheap and would have been better metal. Not that smooth pulling weight and had to grease up the barsOther than that not bad
