This tape measure works great. It feels like a solid build and works great. The auto lock feature works well and makes it easy when measuring. The measurements are easy to read. You can’t beat the value for the price. Highly recommended if you like the auto lock feature in a tape measure.

These tapes are nicely finished and easy to read. They work a bit different as they automatically lock when the tape is pulled out. Then you push the button to release and retract the tape. I prefer these to any other tape I have tried.

Best self-locking tape measure out there
This is the one to buy – inexpensive, easy to read with the high visibility markings, small size so easy to store, compared to my self-locking Milwaukee (soon to be returned), this one is flawless.

Great tape measure
I have a few of these tape measures that I have been using about 5 years now. I’ve used lufkin and Stanley pretty much my whole life but you can’t beat these, Especially the self locking mechanism. After a while the locking mechanism starts to fail. When that happens I take it apart. There is a tiny plastic brake shoe that engages the tape. It becomes smooth. Filing is only a temporary fix. I used a siliconized rubber adhesive back pad About 1⁄16 of an ” thick, The thinner the better. I cut it to size and use it to line the brake shoe. I did this a few years ago and The tape measures have been working great ever since.

Nice Tape Measure
Nice tape measure. It is plastic but so are so many these days, even the name brands. Retraction on this is excellent. That is something that is an issue with cheaper tapes. For home use, very good choice. Does the job.

I love Komelon tapes. I grabbed this for my work bag as I travel for work. Light weight and just as sturdy as the bigger tapes without the bulk and weight. Lovely to use, smooth and does not jam.

I’m not sure if the self-locking mechanism was introduced by Komelon, but I’ll never buy another tape again that doesn’t have this feature. I am a professional carpenter and find it to be so much easier to use. They will wear out like any other tape measure, but the design makes them my go to brand now. I just bought six more to give to my carpenter/homeowner friends.

absolutely love it. I work with tape everyday. They do break, but after a long use and abuse. I like the new tape I got-retracts so smoothly. I like the slim profile.
