Works Well—Easy to Read—Tape Holds Shape Out To 96.5″
This YesBes 25ft/7.5m Easy Read Tape Measure works well. After repeated testing, the tape consistently held its shape when extended to 96.5 inches in calm conditions without support. I couldn’t reach the reported 102 inches. The lock operates smoothly and keeps the tape secure until you release it. Initially, the release slide was a bit tough to lock, but after a few uses, it became easier to lock and unlock with your thumb. The retraction is quite fast, so watch your fingers. The hook functions well and measures accurately both inside and outside of its thickness. The tape includes a lanyard and a belt clip. It displays measurements in both imperial and metric. The TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) exterior provides a comfortable grip for better handling and some degree of drop protection.Conclusion: This tape measure has met my expectations, earning four stars according to my rating system. It is reasonably priced for a medium-quality tape measure. I deducted one star because the tape didn’t hold out to 102″ without support in calm conditions. I hope this information is helpful. Well built but opposing measuring systems can be problematic.
I like the size, weight and general feel of this tape measure. I’ve had several over the years and frankly, many were too light and flimsy or too heavy and bulky to be comfortable to use, but this one hits the sweet spot for me. The tape blade is about 1″ wide and the black on yellow is easy to read, plus it is just rigid enough to hold itself up when it’s being extended horizontally. There is also a thin rubberized coating on it that helps grip it too.The self-locking mechanism they mention however is non-existent. It does have a manual lock that is solid and holds it firmly in place and the retract function is quick and precise. I compared the measurements to my current tape and its very accurate.The only issue I have with this is the two different measurements, imperial (standard) and metric on the same device. While some may see this as a plus, anybody that uses a measuring tape frequently knows that you inevitably get into situations where you can’t use the either the top or bottom markings so there must be the same measuring system on both sides if you’re doing anything that requires precision.Other than that one issue, this is a good quality device and well worth the money.

Much better than expected and is a very solid tape measure! Great extension length before buckling!
I have to admit that this tape measure being so reasonably priced I felt was likely going to feel that way as well. But I was pleasantly surprised! For a tape measure less than $10 this 25ft tape measure has a very solid feel and the lock works as expected. Very easy to read and although I do not use centimeters it does have those available and well marked so is an option as well.But there is a BIG test for a tape measure and that is how long can it extend until it buckles and falls to the floor. I have other inexpensive tape measures and you know how that is and you get to about 6 feet and it buckles and falls to the floor. So I tested this 25 ft tape measure and could consistently get to 7 feet 11 inches before it buckled! For those of you who know, that is quite impressive. I did three times trying to get to 8 feet slowly extending and all three times it buckled at 7 feet 11 inches so didn’t quite get to 8 feet but 7 feet 11 inches is quite good especially for a tape measure at this price point. I know the more expensive name brand 1″ tape measures can extend even up to 12 feet or more but those are two or three times the price if this tape measure as well.I was much more impressed than initially expecting and I know that is unfair but I was quite wrong. Very impressive tape measure for that entry level price point! This is a great cost effective tape measure to have as a spare around the house or in the truck.
